trying to decide whether to keep our #19 cabana at Castaway Cay. Do you think it's worth the money ?
We'll be splitting the cost with our son. Did they build another bathroom ? I had heard that they were planning to. Do you get good service at the cabanas ? We've never had one and I like the idea of the quiet beach but still undecided. Would love to read your comments. Thanks.

We have booked a cabana for our last three DCL cruises. Service isn't that great, but it is nice with our little ones to get them out of the sun.

You know yourself best. A cabana will be whatever you want it to be! If you're looking for a quieter day away from the general crowd
then it might be worth it to you.

For us personally, it wouldn't be. We enjoy people watching on the Family Beach, walking the Hike-Bike trail, and just watching all the
activities on the island.

Bon Voyage.

There is a 2nd bathroom.

We had one for a January cruise one time which was great because the weather wasn't terrific during the beginning of the day and it was nice to have a cabana as wind coverage.

We looooove having a cabana.

We booked a cabana for our December cruise in 2014 -- best money we ever spent for a "treat". Turns out the water was freezing -- and so was the air. Coldest I'd ever seen it, so having the cabana was amazing. We enjoyed the privacy, the service and ability to lounge around. Got to keep the bikes all day and that was fun, too.

Lots of snacks, beverages and water were provided, together with towels and sunscreen. There is a safe in the closet and we enjoyed the changing area -- which we used to change out of our bathing suits and into regular clothes for the rest of the day since the water was too cold.

Our steward came back to pick us up for lunch in the golf cart and waited for us while we got our food and took us back to the cabana. Also there is a button to push for drinks, etc. However, make sure you push the button WHILE your steward is there to be sure it works. Ours did not (we found out later) and told the steward next time he came by. As a result, he checked on us continually to see if we needed anything.

Funny story, on the way back to the ship he was telling us that the people in the cabana next to us wouldn't leave and he was going to have to get security. All aboard time was 4:30 and it was 4 p.m. and they were having too much fun and weren't heeding his warnings.

Yes, the new bathroom is between 15/16. We had #18 Jan 2016 and it was a very short walk to the restroom.
Service was good...maybe not as good as last the trip when we were concierge, but we didn't feel ignored. The cabana host popped in maybe twice but the bar guys were around a bunch.
We were traveling in a group of 7 (and they didn't charge us for the 7th person since he was an infant) and stayed in the cabana all day. So the price per hour per person made sense. Plus it includes bikes, snorkels, rafts, and tubes.
