For those who have cruised, would it be worth it for a solo or party of 2 to get a cabana at Serenity Bay for the day? and if you have a cabana would you do the 5K or skip it? Thanks!

Serenity Bay is calm and mostly quiet, much more than the family beach. In that context, a cabana there is not as much of an upgrade compared to getting a cabana on the family side.

That being said, ‘worth it’ is a very personal opinion. We always try to get a cabana and have rented one many times over the years, but many believe it is too expensive.

Personally, I would get one if it was just my wife and I, but not if I was alone. You would get plenty use of it even if you run the 5K (unless maybe if you are the last one to finish…)

My family and I have rented a cabana on the family beach on multiple occasions and, for us, the tranquility and escape from the crowds is absolutely worth the rental fee. My husband and I would certainly rent, just the two of us, if we had the opportunity.
Honestly, I don’t believe I would choose a cabana on a solo trip for the simple fact that I would feel too secluded after spending a lot of time on my own. My husband, on the other hand, would do it in a heartbeat.

Thanks! With my European cruise being cancelled, I was able to book two Caribbean cruises-one with concierge. I figure it may be my only opportunity as a new cruiser to grab a cabana. Still working out details if my friend can join for both cruises but the idea of a cabana sounds like fun!

I would say it depends on how comfortable you are with the price vs the amount of time you’ll spend there? The cabana is nice (we loved it and would most likely try to book it again if we went back with the in-laws) but not sure we’d do it for just the two of us as we could get a very nice excursion —for 2– for half that price.

Thanks for your input. I think I have the FCC to help out with this cruise so the cabana or an excursion will just be a fun bonus.

Cabanas at Serenity are not actually on the water. You first take a path through the bushes, then past the chairs and into the water. They are pretty private and shaded, but aren't on the water at all.

Personally, I don't think they're worth it. Especially if it was just my husband and I. We like to sit on the beach and explore. So I really don't think we'd ever be in it enough for it to be worth the money.
