Castaway Cay Cabana 7

my 120 day booking window opened today... I requested the wrong Cabana! I had meant to request 8/ or 9 but I got assigned number 7. In 2015 we had #5 and I really loved it but had been looking for that closer view of the ship and I wanted a shaded hammock. The pics I've seen of 7 look like the hammock is not shaded , I'm worried I chose the wrong Cabana!! Has anyone stayed in #7 and really enjoyed it?

Do a google search for "castaway cay cabana 7" , there are some reviews with pics on various sites, and even some videos should pop up in the search. That should help you visualize better. I do similar thing with campgrounds as well

Oh yes I've watched/read/looked at everything I could find on it, was hoping maybe someone had first hand experience and actually stayed in it! Will make do as there are now None left which I knew would be the case!

I've had #7 twice and loved it both times. My pictures show a lot of sun in the hammock area, but what time we spent in the hammock we weren't bothered by it. However we spent so much time in the water and doing other things that the hammock probably wasn't even used much.

Thank you so much for your reassurance that this is a good Cabana! You make some valid points- I probably will be chilling in the water a lot as long as I have some shade in my Cabana to escape to I should be fine! I'm thankful we got one! Happy to hear you enjoyed it too!

We have been in #7 too, and loved it, would grab it again in a second. We have had 2 others but this was our favorite.

We just had cabana # 7 in May. Loved it! The hammock was in the sun for most of the day, but there were enough passing clouds that it didn't bother us. We were very happy with this cabana and would request it again! We have also had # 9 for a point of reference. Both were equally great.

Can't answer regarding shade at cabana 7 but it is pretty well located IMHO. It's a short walk to the restrooms. The cabana host's shack is right behind #7 so it's easy to find one. The walk to food is also quick, certainly close enough to bring your lunch back to the cabana. The view is good and the water is better than higher numbered units. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
