Can you Dis'ers please cast your vote for the best Suite close to Disney world? We stayed at Sheraton Safari last year and are looking for someplace different. Must be a Suite. Thank you! :thumbsup2

I have always loved the Embassy Suites in Lake Buena Vista...they ain't cheap but they are nice!!

If you want a regular hotel suite for daily housekeeping and a hotel feel to the place, then I think Caribe Royale sounds fun for families, though I haven't been there. But if you want a great suite of rooms with lots of space, upscale inroom furnishings and resort amenities, then you can't beat a timeshare resort. Some of the nicest in the world are located right in the WDW area!

well there is a county inn & suites in LBV, lots of people like Buena Vista Suites - this year - dreams unlimited has a wonderful rate - next year they won't the rehab will be finished.

I went on Trip Advisor.com and the Homewood Suites , I can't recall which one, is rated #1 in popularity for Orlando. You can read some reviews on the Trip Advisor website as well.

I think Embassy Suites or Homewood Suites on Palm Parkway.

We loved the Doubletree Suites when we stayed there in June. :thumbsup2 Personally I think the rooms are bigger and nicer than Embassy Suites (But the free hot breakfast at Embassy is better). Also I don't think there is a Homewood Suites on Palm Parkway anymore...it has changed to Palomino Suites (something like that). I haven't read any reviews for Palomino Suites...has anyone stayed there?? :confused3

We love Staybridge Suites across from the enterence from downtown. Hot and cold free breakfast, full kitchen, GREAT mattress.. Price for a 2 bedroom suite in December which sleeps 8 is $120 per night.. They also have Magic your way packages.. We are returning there again this year..Can't wait

We stayed at the Country Inns and Suites which backs on to the Sheraton Safari and very much liked it. The free breakfast and free internet access swung the deal :)

Doubletree Suites in DTD is really very nice and you can sometimes find a good deal (we used Hilton Honors points for a recent stay...can't beat FREE!) The suites are large, newly refurbished and have new beds which are very comfortable and piled high with fabulous linens.

Do you have the address of this place? We have previously stayed at the Homewood Suites on Palm Parkway, which, as someone else mentioned, has changed hands, so we are looking for another inexpensive suite property. Thanks in advance for your help!................P

Our TA just emailed us about this hotel yesterday. We are seriously considering it. When I looked it up on their webpage it says that they are a mile from Downtown Disney. This will be our first time at DW so I don't know the area at all.

I tried posting the link, but since it is my first post the boards won't let me.

I forgot to mention... TA said that it used to be called Summerfield Suites.

I want to book, but am not sure about the location. Anyone know what stores are in the shopping plaza 1/2 mile from there? Will it be hard to get the Disney transportation. I'm new to all of this.....

For the people who stayed at Disney Downtown Embassy or Doubletree did you use the disney shuttle and was it fairly prompt? Also is there a view of Disney from the hotels?

Did not use hotel transportation from the Doubletree Suites on either visit because I had a car...but it seemed to be fairly dependable but not as frequent, of course, as the official Disney transportation from Disney resorts BE sure you are booking the Doubletree SUITES, not Doubletree Club.
