Newbie here but forever lurker! Thanks for all the great advice.

Everyone always talks about how friendly and amazing the cast members are at Disney ?

On our recent trip there is only one instance someone working for Disney stood out. When we walked into the Polynesian a lady checked us in and walked us all the way to our room.

Besides that instance nothing else. Nobody was rude in any way, just indifferent. I’m not a complainer and have traveled to Disney and all over before. The people at Disney were no different than people in nyc or other local amusement parks and shops. Just regular people going through the motions.

Maybe we missed something! Or maybe we seem unapproachable.

And if a cast member is overly nice do you tip them?

Our taxi driver to the airport was very friendly.

the best thing to do is to go to City Hall and say that you want to do A CAST MEMBER COMPLIMENT FORM.
You will need the following information
1. Name of CM
2. Approx time
3. Location
4. Description of why this CM stood out.

This form then goes to the department manager and then to the individual CM. It gets recorded on their official employee file and gets taken into consideration when the CM requests things like shift requests, vacation time, department transfers, promotions etc.
