Cast Member Just Informed me no more FD for 2011

I was so excited about the anticipation of having FD this year (October) but I asked a Cast Member on the Online Chat, and this is what she said:

"Our Free Dining offer booking for dates through September 2011 have closed. That offer was available to book until December 20, 2010. At this time, we will not be offering a free dining package again this year. All of our current Special Offers are listed online on our Special Offer page. "

Although it says "At this time..." it still is different from the answers I usually get from CMs (Keep looking for offers, anything can happen etc). But hey, we all know CMs can be wrong! Here's to a little pixie dust for all of us wishing for FD this fall!

I think it just means that as of right now they don't have any FD offers but that always changes come April when they release the FD offers. Once the current offer booking window expires they release a new one.

I hope you're right! It was just really odd the way she worded it. Usually when I ask they give me a little glimmer of hope, but this chick was straight to the point! lol

"At this time" is really just the same as "anything can happen", only stated in a different way.

And if it was online chat it is likely that those responses are prewritten for her and she just clicks a button for that question (that probably gets asked alot). Over the phone when they can't click a button to answer a question there is more leeway for different wording.

I agree with what the others have said. The CM's don't have any idea if free dining will be offered again, they don't make that decision and probably only find out about it right before we do. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
