On the January 23rd sailing of the Disney Wonder out of San Diego, the first showing of "The Golden Mickey's" was interrupted and later cancelled after a cast member injury.

The person playing "Louis the Alligator" during the "Dreams Do Come True in New Orleans" segment fell through the opening in the stage. The production was immediately halted. We then heard the "Brightstar, Deck 2" announcement.

Within a few minutes, the show was cancelled. It was not performed again that evening for early diners.

It was unclear if the cast member, in full costume, mistakenly fell in the opening due to being in the wrong place OR if the stage floor had not been properly put back in place.

No update on the cast member's condition was ever given, although injury rumors from the crew ranged from "critical" to "not bad at all."

Later that cruise, during "Dreams", the "Beast" did not come out to dance with Belle (probably due to the full costume.) Peter Pan performed with her instead.

Bright Star
Not good at all.
My first cruise 5 bright star calls. Two for the kitchen/galley and 3 for the passengers.
I’m thinking that person might go home even before contract ends.

What does Brightstar mean (I can surmise some sort of medical issue, is it more specific than that)?

We heard our first brightstar call during our November cruise. It was around midnight and it’s announced in everyone’s cabin too. we also had to stop at a local island for medical reasons.

Was it on the repositioning cruise from NYC to San Juan? We heard a brightstar in the middle of the night on that cruise and it was for the cabin right next to ours. That's the first one we've ever heard, thankfully.

It was on the November 6th western Caribbean cruise. I never realized what this meant until I got home.
