Cast Member Discounts?

Has anyone be able to get a cast member discount at AKL? We are looking at going in October but with some things that came up with the house, without a really good discount we can't go. A friend of mine is willing to call but nothing is available for that time period yet.

Any info?

I was able to pull up availability under the Friends & Family rate for the first 2 weeks and the 4th week, nothing for the 3rd week. Availability does change.

There was also some availability for the Cast Member rate also. (Castmember must be staying in room.)

Can anyone tell me what kind of discount is typical for CM Friends and Family, and if it's ever offered in early June? I'm planning a trip with my friend, and her sister and sister's husband are CMs. Sis said she randomly gets offers for Friends and Family and sometimes the offer includes the Dining Plan (although she did not say that specifically is discounted) and that before we book we should call her.

Typically the F&F discount is 40%, can be less at very busy times. The DP discount is usually 50% off Regular Dining Plan (not available with QS or DxDP).

Right now, I believe through mid August CMs Friends & Family discount is 50% off. and CM discount is 60% off.

Wow, 40% is a generous discount! Is that 40% off the room? And would I have to choose between the room discount or discounted DP?

The discount is on the room. So it's a room-only reservation. At certain times the Dining Plan can be added to that room as a discount. This can only be done by the CM via a phone call.
