Local news just reported that the CM was run over by a parade float that was backstage just beginning to enter the Magic Kingdom at the beginning of the parate route near Splash Mountain. News said the CM was dressed as a character, but has not released which character.

We just returned Sunday too and had the BEST encounters with CM's. I told DH I hope it was not a Princess that we ate with or Mickey. I don't want it to be any of them though. I have not told the kids. DD would cry and DS would be upset too.

WESH in orlando is reporting it is a 38 year old man who has worked at Disney for 8 years.

It is strange that they have a picture of the 'Beast' in those photo series for channel 6.

Very sad. Just an all around terrible day at WDW and now this tragic news. I don't see the photos of the Beast but that seems like a possibility. The float appears to be a castle. Prayers for the gentleman and his family.
