HI..I am posting this on a couple of different boards, sorry for the repeat, but wanted to make sure it got seen :teeth:

I am trting to find the site where you can print out THANK YOU cards to give to the Cast Memebers while in the parks,,,,,,Thanks so much for your help once again :grouphug:

I know they have some on themouseforless site. There are a lot more on other sites. That is the only one I can think of off the top of my head this morning. :)

Thanks,, I will try there..yes I was on a different Disney site ( :rolleyes1 )
and they had some great ones..but I never went back,,and can not remember which one it was..... :confused3

Even better and MORE appreciated than "thank you" cards you hand to Cast Members is going to Guest Services/City Hall and filling out a compliment card or form for that CM.
Handing a CM a card makes them feel good; letting Disney know in writing what a CM did goes in their respective files and is taken into consideration for raises and promotions.

I agree. I was a park CM for 3 years. If someone handed me a card like that, I'd say "Ummm. Ok...", stick it in my pocket and then toss it on the way to break. An official compliment form is much more appreciated.

I do that too :thumbsup2 ..

I have done that many time before,,and planned on Going to City Hall and filling out the form, ..I was just thinking it would nice that when they KNEW that someone had gone to City Hall and filled out the form , maybe they would sort of remember who thought so much of them..and having the card would help them put a "family" to the thank you!!!! And I was told by many people that the Cast Members LOVE to get these..( I guess NOT ALL of them) :confused3

I didn't know you could do this!! Can you do this at ANY guest services, including at the resorts? :Pinkbounc

Great! Personal attack. I think it is anyways. I can't tell with that silly smiley at the front. Good work.

This thread's so going to get closed if this continues.

As a former castmember, I must say that I loved receiving both types of compliments!
Yes, the ones that are from Guest Services are great to receive, but so often they take a while to get to each particular Cast Member...there were times that we would receive them and have no clue what the particular incident was!!
I personally have kept all the ones that were personally given to me by guest...I guess I'm a sucker for being sentimental, but when a child comes back to you later in the day with a hand drawn thank you because you did something special..well, that means a lot to me.

And...totally going back to the actual topic!...I did know that there was an actual site for thank you cards...now I'm going to have to go and look it up for future visits.

LOL, no, no, Or, not an attack. I was just saying that I hoped I had never paid you a compliment as a CM since I often give CM's a nice (IMO) WWWD pin. http://www.whatwouldwaltdo.com/cata...id=30&osCsid=e46d629a4cd9a5e50fecdd77a0215767

Those I have given them to have always expressed an appreciation for it. And I was thinking if I had given to you, and you had expressed a false appreciation and then tossed in the trash on the way to the breakroom, well, that would make me a bit sad I guess. I would have thought a CM was expressing a sincere reciprocal appreciation, whereas you would not have been, plus I would have wasted a few bucks on you.

So no, not a personal attack, just a hope I had not complimented you. No hidden meanings, LOL.

And yes, PixieDust78, very nice, and welcome.

Sorry, but I agree with Dan. I also hope I never gave you a compliment.

OK, however, I think I would look at a pin as a bit different than a paper card. I mean that sounds kind of interesting. Might stick it with my other pins. A paper card - what do you do with that? Put it in your dresser drawer and reminisce about 10 years ago when some stranger gave you a piece of paper? Dunno... Why not just say "Thanks for the help"?

I wonder why this never happened to you in 3 years,it seems to be a popular thing to do for DISers.Yeap I really wonder why. It's a MYSTERY!

A personal attack would be something like "OMG are you even capable of saying something positive?Every time I see a post by you it's a complaint of some sort."

Off topic, can you tell me how to type the mickey head. I've forgotten over the years and have been straining my brain. Thank you.

Ummm... could it be that the 3 years were 92-95 and there was no disboards then? But thanks for your input.

There were no boards but there are people here who have been going to Disney since the 80s or sooner.

My apologies. I wasn't saying DON'T hand out CM Appreciation Cards - I just wanted readers to know that it's even more effective to go to Guest Services in addition to thanking the CM on the spot!

Oh, yeah. I mean, I don't know if they have forms at the resorts, but absolutely make sure to speak to a supervisor, and even follow up with a letter. Which reminds me, I've still got a few to write...

And c'mon, folks - the cards really are a nice idea, but orljustin shouldn't be criticized for mentioning what he/she would do with such a card. How about - whenever the situation warrants, thank a CM in the way YOU want (except maybe by tackling Mickey, or smothering Chip with kisses - oh, wait, the chipmunks LIKE that ;)) - verbally, with a card, with a pin, with a drawing, at Guest Services...

And, micki1: ALT+167 O ALT+167 (don't leave the spaces, I just did that for legibility) ºOº
