What do people do with their phones or Key to the World cards when they’re swimming? Is it safe to leave it (out of site) by your towel on the beach?

Is there wifi for my daughter & I to text each other if she wants to go to the teen area?

Is it the same at Lookout Cay?

I wear a waterproof case, similar to this.

I do carry my KTTW and Driver’s License in it. I don’t wear a MagicBand+

Phone gets left in my bag. No problems so far. Yes, I stick it at the bottom of the bag. It’s a major reason I love being on a private island. I dread the day if the demographics for DCL go to stealing. I have not heard of it’s being an issue in 17 years sailing Disney.

I don’t think there is WiFi available in guest areas. Watch for comments by others.

I can’t ever access the navigator app at serenity bay on castaway. Not sure about other parts of the island.

We just leave all our stuff in our bags, in a lounger. Never had an issue.

I think I was able to access the Navigator App in the family area on Castaway Cay -- otherwise, I wouldn't have known what activities and performances were going on, and I remember going to a scheduled show.

I know that since the Bahamas were covered by my T-Mobile data plan, I was able to use texting at Castaway Cay.

There have been issues of expensive items being stolen at CC throughout the years. KTTW cards/ Drivers license and phones are normally not an issue.

I will add that on my last cruise, I had my lollipop holder stolen from outside of my cabin door.

We leave our stuff in our bags on our chairs. Also, in case you don't know, there isn't a teen club on Lookout. We were there in July and loved it. My dd is 16 yrs old and she had a great time even though there wasn't a teen club. She made arrangements the day before to meet some other teens on the island.

I keep super important stuff with me in a waterproof lanyard. So phone, KTW card, DL, etc. Basically stuff left at my chair would be inconvienent to get stolen but wouldn't ruin my trip. Certain things if they got stolen would ruin the trip, I keep that stuff with me at all times.

We've been to CC a bunch of times & have never had an issue, but I have heard of phones being taken. In fact, there was an entire site dedicated to a phone that was taken from a room on the Wonder, I believe. The person who stole it didn't realize the photos would show up in the owner's cloud account, and the owner posted all of the phone's photos that were taken since being stolen. Turned out to be a CM unfortunately. You never know.

I have one of those little lockbox type things (where you loop the cord around a chair and put all your belongings in it and lock it.

I just shove it down to the bottom of my bag. It’s an old phone. It would be sad to lose, but I’m not too worried. You’d have to dig through the mountain of my towels and sunscreen, not sure it’s worth the effort. I’m sure there are one off with regards to theft on CC, but overall pretty tame and safe.
