Cassie's Wish/ptr

Did you schedule any meals?

Make a plan for the trip yet?

I'm dying to hear.

OK we finally have a dinning date with some princesses. The price is really high so we could only afford to do one, but one is far better than none. We will be eating at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Epcot on Feb. 8th at 1:20pm.
We've gotten over the $100.00 price tag shock of the slitherin robe so we are going to bite the bullet and get her what her heart desires is. I think for me the most frustrating thing is that as of the 2oth of Feb we would have money that we could afford to spend and then finances would not be an issue.

I just wanted to say a big thank you from our family for all the wonderful help that you have extended to us. It has been truly been a great help and a blessing.

Oh, I'm so glad! I'm sure Cassie will love it!

Hiii! I just found your PTR from another PTR...hehe.

I have TONS of information that I've saved on my laptop from doing all my research for our Sept '11 trip. I'll be glad to email it all to you. It includes all kind of tips and info about each park and what time is best to do what and where to watch parades, what height for which rides and so forth. Just let me know, and I'll be glad to pass it all along. :)

Can't wait to see pics. Your daughter is just beautiful! Hope she has a wonderful time. We did CRT when we were there, we had a great time visiting all the Princesses, I think it would be just as cool anywhere. I would also let them know you're coming for a MAW trip whenever you make plans/reservations and maybe everyone will dust you with a little extra Pixie Dust.

Oh what great news ! Akershus is excellent .. you'll like it there. I'm glad you were able to get it booked. The food, for us, was a little weird .. but we're all just picky eaters. The desserts though were FABULOUS !! :woohoo:

Just be sure to give yourself a LOT of time to get there .. Akershus is WAY on the other side of EPCOT and is a good 15- 20 minute walk from the Main gate. I hate to see you have to run through EPCOT to get to your ADR.
EPCOT is huge, it's in several parts .. it's a lot to try to do in one day. I like to break it up into 2 days .. but if you only have the one day then I'd just try to do the important things (like eating with the Princesses !)
This map shows you the layout of the park. You enter in where the big "ball" is located (toward the bottom of the map .. Akershus is on the other side of the lake .. there is a boat that can take you across ..

I will gladly accept any and all help! I told The Children's Wish Foundation today that I feel so lost, overwhelmed and stressed out at this point. I only have 10 days to figure this stuff our. Being OCD is not in my favor on this wish trip that is for sure.

Just jumping into your ptr! :goodvibes A few things I have seen people doing:
Try to make a rough plan, but don't plan on sticking to it, because magic can and will happen during your trip. Maybe look at each park and choose what is most important to each person going? That way, you are sure to hit those things at least. I have never been on a wish trip, but I am a mega planner. :lmao: Look at the dates you are there and see what each parks hours are and the parades or fireworks. Maybe even try to see which ones are usually the most/ least busy? I think though with your GAC you will get, it won't matter too much though, unless they close early or something.
Also, check what parties you want to hit at GKTW- that way you can plan a shorter park day for the parties that matter most. I'm a big Harry Potter fan too and I know I wouldn't want to leave the park for a party at GKTW the day I went there for example... :wizard: I know Sea World closes early, so I would plan that for a day of say... the Christmas party at GKTW (one I would hate to miss!).

Anway, dunno if I helped any, but it's an idea of sorts. Just know, your trip will be great either way- planned or on the fly! You got your ADR for Akershus and that is a great one! We went there and the kids loved it, esp my daughter! Just have fun with it!

I guess I just feel so overwhelmed that I just don't even want to think about it any more. Cassie keeps researching things and getting so excited but she's not thinking about if she and her dad will have the stamina to get it all done.
I recieved an email today about Epcot and she will be getting a mini tour if it all works out. I'm not telling her about it just incase so she's not upset. She is SUPER SOFT HEARTED so it takes very little to hurt her sweet little heart. I'm happy that I have a new camera that I will be able to take tons of pictures with so I just want her to have the experience of a life time.

I know what you mean. Planning for Disney to make sure you get it all in is stressful.

I sent you a private message to get your email address. :)

Hey Marie! I didn't know you had a PTR?! I'm from the facebook group.

You have a beautiful daughter!

It does take stamina to accomplish alot at Disney. We have lived near Disney since 2000 and still haven't done everything. My son has a host of diagnosis' and he makes it about 2 hours at a park. Having a GAC does help. And now that we have a Convaid Cruiser that helps even more!

We have annual passes to all Disney parks and water parks, Universal and IOA, Sea World and Busch Gardens. So if you have any questions feel free to ask away.

Maybe I missed this, which princess is your daughter's favorite?

I'm glad you found our PTR, Cassie bugged and bugged me to do it. I really wasn't sure at first if I wanted to put it out there or not. I'm glad I did though, I have found some great support by doing it. Sometimes I feel so alone in the crazy medical life with both my husband and daughter being sick. I knew I'd miss my mom when she passed but I really miss her support with all this stress.

Cassie has two favorite princesses....One is Ariel the little mermaid and the other is Mulan.

Found your PTR and your trip is coming up really fast! Hope you and your family will have a fantastic time and make lots of wonderful memories together!

Here's a link to GKTW Village Guide that you can read over before you get there. Hope that this helps you out with your planning!

If you are overwhelmed with the planning, let us help. Just start with something like this and go from there. Switch the parks around till you find a combo that fits. If stamina is an issue, will you be using EVC? Also, remember that you can take breaks during the day at First Aid.

Friday Feb 3: Arrival, Orientation?, Christmas Party at GKTW?

Saturday Feb 4: Magic Kingdom, open 9am - 12am

Sun Feb 5: Sea World

Mon Feb 6: Islands of Adventure/WWOHP

Tues Feb 7: DHS/AK

Wed Feb 8: Epcot, 1:20 reservations at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Thurs Feb 9: US/IOS

Friday Feb 10: Leave
