I know that quite a few of you use Caskbill's brilliant planner.

I just wanted to let you know that there is a thread over on the main DVC boards to say that sadly Caskbill suffered a massive heart atack and passed away :sad2:

Here's the thread in case any of you want to post on it.

OMG!!! That's terribly sad... Thank you for letting us know, Jakki...

This terrible news was the first thing to greet me when I logged onto Facebook this morning. I can't begin to express how sad, shocked and sorry I feel. I was hoping to hear that he'd had the surgery he needed and was on his way to a full recovery. It's so hard to take in the fact that less than two weeks ago he was looking forward to checking in to the Treehouse Villas on opening day, but instead developed heart problems and is now no longer with us. :sad1:

That is so sad, I am so sorry. :sad1: thanks for posting.:sad1:

Thank you for posting this Jakki. I had not realised and it is very sad. He gave so much to help DVCers. Rest in Peace.

How sad. He will certainly be missed on the DIS :(

Although I don't post on the DVC boards I also share this sadness since Bill was a lovely person who took time out for everyone.
Thoughts for his wife Peg and family :grouphug:

Thanks for putting the link to Bill's obituary on the UK DVC site for people to go to.
As you know my husband, Caskbill, passed away suddenly and we are trying to deal with our loss of husband, father, and brother in our lives. We remember his gentle ways and smile, his intelligence and insight, and most of all his devotion to anything he truly believed in like DVC. When we went in 1993 to take the tour of DVC..we were both astounded and amazed at what Disney had created...in fact we bought that day. That was the beginning of a great adventure that continues today.

When Bill was asked to be a moderator on Disboards...he was honored and yet another phase in his life opened up as he could advise and create tools to help others enjoy this new experience on their limited time schedule. My husband the "maker of impossible--possible"....which he did in a lot of other ways for us his family.

Thank you all for your condolences and wishes for us. We struggle on with our lives and try and do the best we can...knowing that he looks down on us with love.

How thoughtful of you to post, CaskPeg :grouphug:.

I hope your memories of time spent with Bill will help you to continue to enjoy all that you and Bill loved about WDW and DVC.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers sent to us on the passing of my husband, Caskbill. They are too numerous to answer...as there are indeed pages and pages of them. I check on the last couple of pages now and again when time allows. But currently I am buried in paperwork, details, and getting ready for other things coming up on the family calendar..even though it is very hard at times to move forward.

I know that Bill was astounded by you all rallying to the news that he was in the hospital first, then came home and was gone in a few days. Our loss is unbelievable and very hard to deal with it at times...but we must grab hold of life just like he would encourage us to do...if we could hear him today.

Thank you again for all your comments, prayers, and other messages.
Your messages have aided us in getting on with our lives....
