Dear Caskbill,
Your DVC planner and points chart are awesome! It's such a help to a newbie like me. For example,the feature part of the planner that shows when you can book @ both 11 & 7 months. I'm having fun trying out different dates for future trips. I love that the pts are figured as you go through each choice.

Would like to inform everyone that I will be updating the planner sometime in the next few days to include the new Saturday hours that MS is now open.

The current version calculates booking windows (11/7 months, or day-by-day) and banking deadlines based on MS being closed weekends and Holidays. I'll be updating it to calculate dates based on only Sundays and Holidays when MS will be closed.

So for now, when you check those booking or banking dates, remember that MS is now open on Saturdays, so you may have one more day.

The updated version will be v1.61 on the download page, so when it says 1.61 instead of 1.60 you'll know it's ready.

Next year (2007), I will be doing a revision to have the planner go all the way to 2054 (such as the DVC-Chart program). Currently the planner only goes thru 2010.

Granny, one of these days I'm gonna get back at you.....

But it's a fair question. BTW, never heard of VAKL? What is that? Unless you mean AKV? (That's what Disney chose (Animal Kingdom Villas) so we'll be using AKV. Besides, the planner can only handle 3-letter abbreviations.)

I'll be updating the whole program next year. Hopefully the AKV point charts will become available in early 2007 as I'll need those for the update.

Now, you're distracting me from finishing the DVC-Tracker program... So if I miss my release date, guess I can put all the blame on you.

And good point about VAKL....clearly it is AKV, though I figured that since they copied the WL resort style for AKL they'd copy the naming style of its DVC spinoff too!

Just a note I once asked Caskbill if we could donate some money and he declined (what a gentlemen) saying that he would any donations would be better sutied to to church or charity.

I was able to get a 2 bedroom BWV Standard view room for 10 days for my family next summer using your program. Otherwise I just know I would have had the wrong dates and called and heard from MS , sorry no more std views.
