Bill was supposed to check in at THVs yesterday for opening day at the new villas. He was eager to post detailed description of distances to/from THVs as well as photos of the villa and resort area.
He has been in FL for a few weeks now and attended Diane's meet at Kidani a couple of weeks ago and I got to spend some time with he and his wife while at OKW. He has been visiting with his sister near Tampa.
He began experiencing some health issues and went to the hospital for evaluation. It seems he is in need of triple bypass heart surgery - originally planned for today. After running the usual gamut of medical tests, he learned Monday afternoon that his heart was not strong enough for the surgical procedure procedure so a consult was set for this morning to discuss other options.
The decision has now been made to send him home with a ton of medications. With any luck, with the meds his heart will be strong enough for the surgery in a few months. Otherwise, the alternative is a heart transplant.
He'll be in the hospital for a day or two longer, then at his sister's for a few days, and then fly home. DW will drive back up and dvc_john (Bill's brother) will follow her. One of the kids will pick him up at the airport and stay with him until Peg and John can get back home.
John has been keeping me posted with Bill's condition and progress and I will try to contact Bill once he returns home.
Please keep Bill and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they negotiate the challenges before them. I will update this thread when further information is received. I asked for and received Bill's permission to share this information here on Mousecellaneous as I knew most would want to know.
