Cash??

Cash is still good. But I agree magic band is the best. U can go down to front desk and pay it down every day if u want. Gift cards that way are the move.

Do you know if there is a way to add gift cards to mobile ordering before I actually go to do the first mobile order? I leave in eight days. I don't see anywhere else to add gift cards to my account except when I have been playing with mobile ordering and you get to the payment screen.

You cannot store a gift card on the app, but you can pay with one. You have to type the number each time, which is annoying.

I charge everything I can to magic band. But yeah unfortunately mobile order requires credit card or Apple Pay. But it is quicker and easier than entering number.

The main benefit of a gift card is that they can be found for 5% cheaper than face value, at a minimum. It's not a huge percentage but it can add up to a couple hundred dollars of savings when you're spending thousands.

Save the GC number as a note on your phone. Copy and paste when needed. Enjoy your meal!

You can use a gift card for mobile order. It's just not the easiest process. It isn't only those two options though.

Yes I do that all year. I get 5 percent on my credit card rewards. Plus 1$ off a gallon of gas since I buy the GC at my grocery store. So actually more than 5 percent. I buy gift cards for everything. Shopping at target etc. all the gas savings goes to Disney savings. Just use gift card at front desk to pay down all the magic band charges.

I have an entry in my Notes App for my current gift card. I open up the Notes App and copy and paste it into the Disney app. Well worth the 5% (or more) savings.

Yeah. I never use gift card for mobile order too long a process. Apple Pay is best for that. Especially if u have a 5% cash back card for that too.

No doubt. Just for fun try paying your $16.51 total with a twenty dollar bill, a one dollar bill, two quarters and a penny. Those youngsters go all deer-in-the-headlights trying to make change.
After my own heart. They just have no concept that you might want to not only get rid of change but also get a nice round bill in return. Of course it would also require some math which is a thing of the past. :)

I’ve settled on using the credit card associated with my Magic Band and Apple Pay so it ends up charging to the same account in any case.

People have been complaining about "youngsters who can't do cash register math in their head" since well before I was a cashier at my first job 30 years ago.
So who is raising these youngsters who can't do math?

This is so true no matter where you go

They still accept cash, but I almost always use the magic band for convenience except for leaving cash for gratuity at restaurants.

Yes but some of the carts might not. (Like pretzel and popcorn carts). But we’ve had no issue (guess that’s luck for us with the carts lolol)

I never use cash anymore...cant remember the last time i had cash in my wallet. But for some reason when i go to disney i prefer to pay in cash when possible. At F&W for example its easier to charge it.

We used some cash last visit and a few food booths at Ep couldn't take it and/or didn't have change for $20s. I think a few pretzel/popcorn carts are card/MB only. You definitely don't have to mobile order all your food but if you don't, you may be waiting a lot longer at some restaurants since they might only have one register for orders. I didn't love MO at first especially when the parks first reopened when the app was glitchy but it's gotten a lot more efficient.
