Cash tips for cruise?

My cruise is drawing near and I'm planning how much tip cash to bring. I have no hotel stay or excursions, so it seems that I only need to bring cash to tip the DCL transfer bus drivers and the cruise terminal porter. I like getting room service occasionally, but now you can tip them electronically, right?

Am I missing anything? It seems like a small amount of cash to bring for tips but I suppose that's because it's a simple trip.

You might also want to add to the standard tip for your cabin attendant or your dining room staff. You can do that at Guest Services, or just add some cash to the envelope they leave you.

Last December on the magic we could tip electronically but this past October on the fantasy I got room service about 6 times and never appeared as an option on the app. I just brought a bunch of $1’s with me.

DEFINITELY tip the bag guy this one jerk who I legit had no cash money on me one time scribbled my room number and name and I didn’t get my bags until the second day.

I leave the standard tips and give everyone an extra $20 at the end

That's what I needed to know. I'll bring a lot of ones for room service. Thanks.

Wow. That story actually gives me an initial urge to not tip them at all, but I know not to blame other people for one person being psycho (and that is psycho imo). Sorry you got a bad apple!

I don't know what your disembarkation plans are, but like luggage porters on check-in day, there are also luggage porters on check-out day (optional, but they're there). They'll load up your luggage and go with you through customs. They also require a cash tip if you use their services.

I always bring some cash- DCL bus driver, porters both on the way in and out (I personally have found a generous tip has my bags handled really well and we always zip through customs on way out). Room service. A a bit extra to those who have given us excellent service tucked into their envelopes.

For our August cruise, we used cash to tip for:
Our luggage collected in room at the MCO Hyatt and transported to the ship - we just stuffed some cash under the handle.
DCL bus driver to/from port
Room service
Extra cash in envelopes for exceptional service from our room/MDR team
