Cash ressies thru MS...

How does thsi work? Do we get discounts on rooms? Just at DVc resorts, correct?
Is this available all the time, or no?
What is the typical discount if any?
Say I ahve a ressie using points, but wnat to add one cash night. MS does this? Do we get to stay in the smae room? (They link the point and cash ressie togther?)
Is the price of the room higher on Friday and Saturday night liek with points?

I just had to add one night to our points stay at HHI. We have a 2 bedroom on points. We wanted to stay an extra night just our family and wanted a studio or a 1 bedroom. According to MS there were no studios available with our member discount so the room was $270 per night plus tax. There was a 1 bedroom available with a member discount so the $345 per night room went to $258.75 plus tax. The discount was for 25%. The cast member @ MS said the discount can vary and that 25% is the biggest discount. Now we are down sizing from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom so our ressies are not linked. I figure when I check in I will mention the Friday night and see if we have a lock-off or dedicated. If we have a lockoff I will see if we can stay in the 1 bedroom side for the remaining night. P.S. the weekend points for HHI are pretty steep in the summer. The 1 bedroom for a Friday night is 52 points and I figure I got it for around $5.00 per point plus tax.

I did member cash nights for a Friday & Saturday last month at OKW, 1 bedroom. I already had a points res for Sunday-Thursday nights. I called MS in late February about adding on the 2 nights for cash. I got 25% off, which was $321 with tax per night. Points would have been 48 per night. So that comes out to about $6.69 per point. Our reservations were linked, so we got room keys & parking permit for the entire stay. They said we were guaranteed to stay in the same room. I had called and asked about linking an AP rate, which was about $20 per night cheaper but they said they could not guarantee we would not have to move plus we would have to check-out/check-in again for the keys & parking permit. Our trash & towel was based on the Friday we got there, so we got it Monday.
