Cash ressie with member discount at HH

My husband, the king of the last minute trip, has decided to take a long weekend with some buddies to play golf at HH. Well, of course, there are no rooms available at this point using points. He had the gall to be surprised! I made a cash reservation with the member discount and had my choice of either a studio or two bedroom. We took the two bedroom for 135 plus tax. I thought that was a great deal. Not as good a deal as last year with the Visa 99 dollar deal but not bad.

So, at the last minute, if you can't get HH with points, try the cash discount, especially at slow times. You might be surprised.

thanks, I am sure they will. But, I have never been to Hilton Head and I am eathing my heart out.

Guess I need to take a vacation there at some point.

I just made a reservation at HHI for 3rd wk of May in a 2BR. They had all of my nights with the exception of Monday and my cash ressie for that night came to $236+tax with the member discount. So, looks like you got a really good deal.

My husband will be there in a few weeks for his golf trip. I made him pick a date and booked it at 7 months out... I said, at least that way everyone will know when and plan accordingly. LOL

So glad to read you got a great cash rate. I am calling tomorrow to add a cash night to our trip in July... it is availible that is... (doubt the price will be close to what your paying!)

We are staying at HHI for a week in March. I got the member cash discount of $168 a night for a 1 bedroom. When is your hubby going?

He is going from March 1st to March 5th. The cash ressie with the discount on a one bedroom should be around 110 plus tax. You should call member services and make sure that they applied the member discount.

It is 25 percent off rack rate at the DVC resorts based on availability. I don't know all the rules about when and how rooms are released for this discount, but some others on this site will. Sometimes they have rooms available and other times they do not. I tried to get spring break for me and kids, but no rooms available on the cash discount.

I'm going to try for Sept @ HH & will try to add a night this way. Do you know if there are any discounts on non-DVC resorts? I'd really like to take my little guy to AK but don't want to spend the outrageous number of points. Thanks again.
