cash reserve into point reserve

A nice lady at dvc just explained to me how 60 days prior to each calender date the cah reservation system release any space it is holding,but unpurchased,to the dvc availablity.Is this true?If so 60 days out is there usually a bunch of space open or is this when the waitlists clear?

Actually, I thought it was the other way around, that DVC releases any units unreserved with points to CRO for cash ressies.

it may work in reverse also, but I was discussing the chances of getting off the waitlist for the single day I am missing in the middle of a ten day stay of which I have pt res.for all the other days.She told me I would have to wait and see what happens on the 60th day from that day as to whether the day is released from the cash reserve.
