I'm a bit confused.

I have a points reservation for BCV for the last half of my vacation.
Online booking is showing nothing's available for the first half using points.

There are villa rooms available on a cash basis on the WDW site.

My question is: Can we book the villa for the first half using cash and how much does it cost for DVC member? How do I go about booking this?

You call MS to book DVC rooms for cash. It would be rack rates with the possibility of a 25% Member Cash discount.

Thank you! would you know if they would be able to link the reservations so that we may not have to switch rooms?

Rooms booked with cash via MS can be linked with points as one stay.

I was trying to get a cash ressie at HHI today. I was told the only way I could was fr a member to use their points elsewhere. I thought they saved rooms for cash reservations?

DVC itself retains about 5% that they sell for cash if not needed for renovations, maintenance, etc. HHI is small, that may only be 1 room.

We're booked on points at BCV for four nights, and then I had to book cash for our last two nights. I booked my cash nights with Central Reservations though initially with the Disney Visa discount and then just changed last week to the Annual Pass discount which saved me another $45. She checked and said it's linked to my points reservation so the room assigner will know to keep me in the same room.

Maybe it's already booked. We did a DVC cash stay at HHI before.

I think the beach club marketplace should ask when you are making a purchase if you are DVC. With the new system of just tapping your Key to the Wolrd, you don't have them looking to see if you are DVC member. We lost about $30 is 10% discounts which we just forgot to ask for.

The DVC Discount should not be based on any DVC notation on your KTTW card. Nor should the CM ask you if you are DVC. If you want the discount, you need to show the CM your DVC Member Card. This will be even more important once MagicBands are in use.
