We are sailing on the Magic 2/9/13 and we are planning an independent excursion to Paradise Beach in Cozumel. I have heard about the fees for individual things and the cab fare...
My question is......Do you take cash only or a credit card or both? How much cash? We are a family of five.
A ballpark idea is fine.....
Thank you SOOO much!

We were at paradise beach last week. Our family of five spent $25 per person and that was for the taxi both ways, access to all water toys, kayaks, snorkel gear, etc and chairs. This was through a driver at the pier.

Then we probably spent $30 in food & drinks. (Food probably runs about $10 a person for a meal, but a couple of us split meals). They have a little gift shop that we spent maybe $10 at.

So I'd say we spent about $170. We paid with all cash. I think they take credit at paradise beach, but I checked before we went and our visa charges a percentage for out of country transactions. So we stuck with all cash.

Have fun!! We loved Paradise Beach. My 13 yr old said it was his favorite day of the whole vacation :)

If you think you might use a card in another country, remember to call your card company before leaving and let them know the dates and what country(ies) so they don't immediately flag the charges and decline them.

paradise beach is a great time. The only bad thing, everything is ala carte and those coronas add up if you are a drinker.

We did both. We paid the cab driver in cash and paid for everything else at Paradise Beach with CC. It was awesome! Have fun!!!
