We are leaving the 16th, heading to Orlando for a week. Going to WDW and SW. How much actual cash should we need? We use our debit card for almost everything, plus we have a Paypal account with a debit card that we have funds in. Do we need cash for parking?

We usually use a debit card as well. But there are a few little carts we used cash at, for a churro, etc. I can't remember to many other places you will need cash at.

Have fun.

I would start with $100-$200 and then get more as needed. Some of the food carts only take cash. I personally like to travel with more cash than I think I will need, in case of some bizarre scenario that may come up.

I don't know who your bank is, but there are Chase ATMs in various locations throughout WDW, including inside the parks.

I suspect, though don't know for sure, that you could select the cash back option when using a debit card during a transaction at a store.

I have never paid for parking (always stayed on site), so I don't know what forms of payment are accepted.

From MouseSavers:
Parking at the theme parks is $14 per day ($15 for campers or trailers). If you will be leaving the parking lot and returning on the same day, or even parking at another theme park on the same day, be sure to save your receipt. You won't have to pay again, because only have to pay the fee once per day. MouseSavers.com reader Adam S notes that it's often fastest to "pay with your credit card at the parking booths. Disney's credit card system at the parking booths is lightning fast and I've always got my receipt faster than any attendant can make change for cash."

Personally - I'd take as little cash as possible. (can't recover stolen or lost cash - you can cancel stolen or lost cards....
There are ATM's everywhere if you NEED cash.
But everything takes debit or credit card now...

I brought $300 and came home with $250. I charged the parking because for reward points since I pay it off each month

Thanks! I think I'll start with as little as possible, and get more while there, if I need it. Good to know that we can use our card for the parking.

The only thing we ever use cash for is tips. The last few trips we've found that even the smallest food & drink carts will take your room key if you have charging privileges on it. :)

All card transactions at the Parks and Resorts are processed as Credit. We are not set up to give cash back, so any cash you want you need to either bring with you, use an ATM machine, or cash a personal check at your Resort Front Desk.
