Cash for room

Can anyone tell me approximately how long in advance you were able to make a reservation at a DVC resort using cash? I want to get the Friday and Saturday between our two weeks for cash but I am worried since there are no cash rooms available yet. I just made my 11 month reservation and couldn't understand why atleast 4% of the rooms weren't available for cash. I am presently holding reservations at the Poly just in case. Hopefully you can all put my mind at ease. thanks

Which resort?

Did you call CRO? I think MS only handles member inventory.

The 4% non-member inventory includes rooms out of service for renovation, so they may not release them until they see if they will have rooms out of service.

I was inquiring for OKW and I tried both CRO and MS and both said nothing available.

I'd suggest you call early in the morning exactly 60 days out. That's when the "breakage" period starts and rooms not booked on points go into the cash inventory, except for the 4% which are for renovations, etc.

I would keep checking periodically. Chances are pretty good that something will come open at OKW. They usually have empty rooms on the weekends.
