For those of you who have visited Nachi Cocom for the all-inclusive beach day would you be willing to share how much cash you feel is necessary? I know we will need cash for a taxi from Port, then cash for tips for the servers. What about the add-on activities? If we choose to do the boat ride, for instance, do we pay cash for that?

Thank you so much for your help!!

We have been to Nachi Cocum several times over the past 10 years. Up until a couple of years ago, they ONLY took cash, and werent set up for cc. Now they do accept cc for the reservation fee. However, we still like to use cash when possible in Mexico, because we have had more than one issue with our cc number stolen after travelling there. You can look at their website and get an idea of how much the water activities cost, taxi is probably about 5 pp each way, and tips would be another few bucks pp. We never know how much to take either, and have our cc as backup, but I feel better using cash. Just our personal preference. You will have a great time though, as it is beautiful there!

I was actually at Nachi last year (see my trip report for a brief review). I'm attaching a picture of the taxi board from the pier where Royal and Carnival dock. Don't remember if DCL docks there as well.

Regardless, we were 4 people (2A, 2C) and paid $20 each way (including tip). We paid by card - they have chip and PIN (no tap), and I checked the conversion rate beforehand so the charge was about right.

We gave our server cash for the tip ($30 on a $148 total, about 20%). Note that is no mention regarding gratuities. Make what you will of that.

Regarding the extra activities, I found my confirmation email, and it has this wording:

EXTRA ACTIVITIES
Nachi Cocom Beach Club also offers activities. They are not included in the beach break rate. Extra charges apply. You will pay the remainder of your balance to the supplier of each activity directly.

So can you pay by credit? It's not clear, but I'm guessing no.

Yes. This was the part that was unclear to me as well as I re-read the confirmation email this morning. I don't like the idea of carrying a ton of cash with us but also am a bit wary of the issues some have had using their credit cards.

Just curious-did you find the "all inclusive" to really be all inclusive as far as food and beverage or were there limits on your food and drink orders? I have read conflicting reports.

Thanks for your help!

When I was there they limited us to starter, main and dessert, with an extra soup or salad for the adults. So it's not eat all you can, but it is still a LOT of food. For beverages there isn't anything top shelf that I recall and I don't remember seeing any bitters but if you've got a drink in mind and they have the materials at hand they will try and make it for you.
