Cash Discounts At The Beach Club Villa

I am booked AUGUST 1&2 with a 25% cash Discount, for a 2 bedroom.
I am using points on August 3-7.

I read often on this board, people are able to get cash discounts, by calling the regular reservations number, sometimes as high as 40%, which is 15%, more than the DVC Members, can get,
in certain situations.

When I call the disney reservation number. They are quite cold to me and tell me that no discounts, are ever available, on DVC Resorts, thru their number.

am I calling the wrong number,
407-wdisney?

do I need to know a certain code?

I have a friend that is a fireman. He got a 50% discounts off his rack room rate at WDW/ CORNADO SPRINGS.

Please help me out. Please!!!

Any discounted rates thru CRO (the number you listed) will depend on a code or an Annual Pass rate (and a few special occupational rates). Without knowing the specific code or AP information, no discount is available.

If you have already been given the DVC discount, you are in great shape. If you do hear of a discount at a later date, you can always ask DVC to match it, but the 25% discount is very good. You can learn about discounts on the Resorts Board and Budget Board. No codes or AP rates have been made available yet for August. There may be Disney Club package rates available.

We booked a room at VWL in March for 3 nights using a code I got from www.mousesavers.com. I called CRO (407-wdisney) and just gave them the code number. With this code we were saving about 40% off the regular price. I know this for sure because I looked up the price on the internet. I then called MS and got a cash quote for the same room and it was $300 more the what I got through CRO. You have to call with the code because CRO will not tell you about any discounts. Although we love DVC and usually stay on our points we wanted to pay cash this time and I received a better deal through CRO.

You might want to try mousesavers.com. She does a good job of keeping the site up to date and if there is a discount out there, she will have it.
