Can a family member use the 25% cash discount if I make the reservation with my membership? This is for a honeymoon and I would like to try to save the couple a few bucks.

No. The member must be staying in the room as I understand it.

That is correct. The member must be staying in the room to get the cash discount, and they will check your member card and ID at check in.

That is correct, the member must be in that room per the rules. Of course if the member is along and not in that room, I doubt DVC would know or care. edited to add: I see Diane was faster than I.

I agree with Dean's assessment of situations where the member is on the trip.

You could rent them your points and book the reservation for them, or if you don't have points available, it might still be less expensive to rent points from another member.

LOL, I assumed PirateParrot was NOT planning on going along on that Honeymoon trip!

I, did, too, Diane, LOL. Hence, my more unequivocal original answer. But, Dean is right in terms of getting the policy right.
