Cash availability of BLT Grand Villa?

Hi all! I'm thinking of booking 5 nights in a BLT GV with points, but I'd like to pay cash to stay 2 additional nights. Do I take a chance that those 2 nights might be available, or should I just book a 2BR and a studio? We are a party of 10.

I wasn't sure if the cash options is always available or only when the rooms are slow to book. We are looking to stay at the end of August 2015.

Does anyone have experience doing this? Any suggestions?

Not all rooms, all dates are available for discounted cash bookings. All you can do is contact DVC for availability/cost.

Thanks. I did call them and they said they don't have any info about cash pricing because Disney hasn't released the rooms to be priced that way. Guess I won't take my chances...

I am one of those that always suggests to book what you can so you know you have something. If your first choice becomes available, great. If it doesn't, at least you are not locked out.
