Hi-
We leave on Sunday (yea!) and I'm wondering how much cash I should bring? It will just be my 20-year-old daughter and me. Will I be able to find ATM machines at our resorts (CSR and BC) without any problems? Do you take all your cash with you when you go to the parks? I don't want to lose it all in one fell swoop, but don't want to have it stolen at the hotel either!

Thanks for all the help!

We generally do not bring alot of cash. Between my DH and me we carry around $100 each day just to pay for little things, then charge practically else to the room.

But, yes, there are ATM machines at the resorts. We use the hotel safe for the rest of our money that we do not carry with us.

Hi there! there are ATMs everywhere!!!! but the fees are crazy once you add up the ATMs and then your banks and so on and so forth! they are almost all SunTrust ATMs and then in DTD i have seen a couple Bank Ones!
Have a great time

ATM machines are in every Disney hotel lobby, however, we usually get AE Traveler's Checks to bring with us, and then when all else fails...the debit card works! Most of the hotels have inroom safes...even POP has them! take what you think you'll need for the day and leave the rest in the safe....just don't loose the key! You also have the ability of placing a credit card on file when you check in which allows charging to your room key! Don't forget to take advantage of having packages sent to your hotel so you don't have to carry them around the parks (a priviledge of staying onsite!)

Just charge everything to your room on your room key and you won't have to worry about carrying any cash at all while on property!

I'd agree that you don't need to take a huge wad of cash with you, especially if you have a debit card or credit card. We use cash for snacks, and sometimes for counter service meals, but purchases and table service meals are on the plastique... :thumbsup2 I'd rather not bring any cash at all, as we usually end up with a huge cup of change at the end of the trip!

Unless they have changed this- there are no ATMs inside AK. You will have to exit, then return through the turnstile (and bag check) if you find you need $ while you are there.
