Casey's Corner or Columbia Harbour House?

Definatly Columbia Harbor House! Casey's has really gone downhill the past couple of years, while Columbia Harbor House has been consitantly good. It also has a more unique menu, and nice quiet seating upstairs for a nice break from the park.

CHH!

But to be fair I have never eaten at Casey's. CHH has always been one of my fav's. :)

Thank you everyone. I have read about the nice upstairs seating area in CHH. We will most likely eat lunch early anyway since we will have an early morning breakfast ADR.

Columbia Harbor House has great tuna sandwiches as well as fish and chips...It is also indoors (Caseys only has benches inside and tables outside) and if you go at the right time it can be nearly empty! Another option is also Pinocchio's Village Haus just fyi.

Does anyone know if the tuna salad is just tuna and mayonaise? I have two kids that are pretty picky but love tuna for lunch...they just don't like anything else in their tuna. Also, do you know if they have regular white bread as an option?

We just ate there about a week ago. I'm pretty sure that the tuna had celery and mayonaise in it...but it is soooo good! I would ask them if they could give you just tuna and mayo for a filling and white bread instead of hearty grain (which is fantastic by the way!). The worst that could happen is that they say "sorry, but no". They have really good clam chowder also.

The only issue is if you have to wait in line to ask and if they don't have to go to another place and wait in line again.

If they don't have white bread on the menu its very unlikely they will just have some laying around and the tuna salad is most likely pre-made.

But good luck

We were just at Columbia House and the upstairs seating is very nice. Quiet and cool. The food was pretty good as counter service goes. They have a hummus sandwich, tuna sandwich (has lettuce and tomato on top, whole grain bread), fried fish, fried shrimp, and chicken nuggets.

The kid's menu was PB&J (uncrustable), mac & cheese, and chicken nuggets (I think). They can get grapes, applesauce, yogurt, or apple slices. They also have coleslaw and french fries.

Adult dessert was strawberry yogurt, apple crisp, or chocolate cake. You can also substitute a dessert for a bottled water if you're on the dining plan. Most folks in our group went for the apple crisp or bottled water. Chocolate cake was half frosting and too sweet. Would not recommend.

Is the strawberry yogurt still the sugar-free kind with nutrasweet or whatever the favored artificial sweetener of the moment is? I wound up not eating it because it was the sugar free and won't eat artificial sweetners because they do not agree with me at all. :headache: Had I known that at ordering I'd have gone with the apple crisp.

Casey's does have limited seating, but their hotdogs are so yummy - it's actually one of my favorite QS. CHH is really yummy too, but there is just something about Casey's that makes me love it all the more, lol! Either way you can't go wrong.

I think the adult yogurt might be sugar free. We stuck to the bottled water, apple crisp, and chocolate cake (would skip the cake and go with the apple crisp). The kid's meal included a regular yogurt - one of those crushable yogurts.

Of course, endorsed by Zack & Cody. :scared:

I am looking for a counter service location at MK where my family can have a quick, low fuss lunch. Would you recommend Casey's Corner or Columbia Harbour House? Thank you.

I would say that if you like the menus at both, just eat at the one that's closest when you get hungry - I like both spots, but neither enough to make a special trip for.

I don't like hot dogs, so we don't go to Casey's. Unless we're cutting through to get between the path to Adventureland and the shops along Main Street.

However, we ALWAYS eat at CHH. TONS of seating on the second floor and I really like several of the dishes they serve there. It's my fave CS in MK!

While I love a Casey's Hot dog, I would suggest CHH with children. We ate there on our last Christmas trip with my 14 month old son at the time. It was really tasty, SO much easier to navigate than Casey's, and has much more available seating/choices. I think of Casey's as my go to late-night snack after a fireworks show. While everyone is trying to rush out to the buses and parking lots, I sit there and have a leisurely snack! Have a great trip!!

I have to say Casey's. We love to get our hotdogs there and make sure we have at least one lunch there each trip. :thumbsup2

We usually eat at both while we're there. For the situation you're describing, I would definitely go with CHH. It's a great, quieter place for kids to recharge and the food, to me, is some of the better CS food you'll find in MK. The apple crisp is a family favorite! :)

We usually eat Casey's while sitting on the curb waiting on the MSEP one night. It's tough to find seating there, and DS6 always looks forward to eating "on the ground!" :)

Have a great trip!

I am so glad the tomato is on top! My DH loves tuna but HATES tomato. I was trying to figure out how make this work. I am excited to try CHH this fall.

I really shouldn't read the Restaurant Boards right before lunch -- now I want a tuna sandwich.:goodvibes
