Does anyone know the brand of Hot Dogs Casey's Corner uses? I think they are the same thoughout the World, but they sure taste better there!:earsboy:

Did you ever notice that when you buy a hotdog at a restaurant, it always seems to taste better than the ones you cook at home. No matter what brand you use.

I would also love to know this. DD just loves their hotdogs. we always have to do Casey's.......::yes::

Don't know the brand, but just ate one there yesterday. ;)
I thought it somewhat interesting on the price. I think it was $3.79. :scratchin
When we were in MK Sunday I almost bought one at a cart for $4.
One price is with tax and one without?
I would guess they are the same hotdogs. Maybe not.
I much rather pay the lower price and be able to slop cheese sauce on it too at Casey's. ;)

Casey's hotdogs are an amazing phenomenon. I wouldn't consider choosing to buy a hotdog anywhere else, but once we get to WDW me and my family have some serious Casey cravings we must deal with

I just happened across my receipt. :)
Yesterday:
Great American (hotdog) $3.19
22oz Coke $1.99
(+ tax)

I am guessing the $4 land hotdogs are larger.

so these hot dogs are something special i see?? I guess I gotta try one-- I usually when I go to MK -- just hit up the kiosks for nuts and popcorn but I guess I should try to do lunch there.... Are you all hot dog lovers or these something really special... worth going out of the way for?

Yep, that's it. If you take $3.79 and add in the FL tax it's $4.04, so actually if you're getting the Grand Slam 1/4 lb one, you're making out at the carts by $.04. I LOVE Casey's and we always stop there at least once every trip.

My DD hates hotdogs, but loves Casey's and the fries. She ate two of each last summer and cannot wait to go back. She eats like a bird too. They were yummy.

Thanks for the replies, but it looks like my question will remain unanswered for now. Maybe, an ex-castmember will reply with the info.:earsboy: :earsgirl:

We love them too. Like their fries also. I'd love to know what brand they are also.
I will ask April 2 when we return.

Yes, I have noticed it. And it doesn't matter what method you use to cook them! We went to a Texas Rangers game last summer and the hot dog was so good! I was trying to figure out if it was the hotdog that was so good or if it just tasted better eating it at a baseball game on a pretty day that made it taste so good. Another thing that stumps me is that the popcorn at WDW tastes so good and it is Orville Redenbacher's. I've tried every type at home that Orville sells and it just doesn't taste as good.

It's because they use Gold Medal Products Co. poppers! :D I work for Gold Medal, we sell concession equipment and supplies, Disney is one of our big accounts. Whenever we go to WDW, I always check out the popcorn machines and cotton candy machines to make sure they are using Gold Medal. :D DH gets SO embarrassed!!

I also agree about the hot dogs at Casey's. I absolutely HATE hot dogs, won't touch them, but I have to go to Casey's Corner at least once per trip. I always thought they used Kahn's hot dogs. Maybe I'm wrong?

All right, you've all got me really hungry now! It's 1:10 and I haven't had lunch yet:crazy: Have to ask a silly question. Where is Casey's? We haven't been to Disney World in 11 years, but are going in June.

Also, do they have other stuff to pile on them like chili sauce, onions, etc.?

I think I have to add this to our list of stops! :teeth:

bballmom56--Casey's is on Main St, if you are standing in the square, looking toward Cinderella Castle, Casey's is on the left hand side of the street, all the way down on the corner. There's a giant "C" on the building, reminds me of the logo of the Cincinnati Reds, if you are familiar with them.

There is a topping bar that was ketchup, mustard, and cheese sauce that I know of for sure, I would think there's relish there as well. You can also get french fries and drinks at Casey's.

Hope this helps,

mmmmm...... Casey's::yes:: They have quite a few topings but I have not seen chili. I think you can buy a chili dog for extra.

Thanks everyone:wave2:

Sounds great. I've added it to my list of must do's and it is the least expensive and a quick stop!

This reminds me of a funny story.....when I was pregnant with DS and we lived in Michigan....all I craved was a hot dog from Casey's. I finally emailed WDW and one of the head chefs emailed me back with the type of hot dog they used......but I can't remember. They didn't sell it in the midwest thats for sure.....I looked everywhere for it. Maybe if someone emails WDW.....they'll tell you the brand.
