Casey's Corner- hot dogs

Maybe its the little kid in me , but our 1st day's lunch at MK is spent sitting on those little bleachers, watching the sports cartoons eating my Casey's hot dog! :goodvibes

I can't compare the hot dogs in the US to those where you have gotten them from. From my standpoint I think Casey's taste average compared to others in the US. We were sorely disappointed after hearing alll the brouhaha about them.

I'm with you. I couldn't wait to try a Casey's hot dog and found it to be no different than an Oscar Mayer.

Best dog in Disney or Chicago IMO. Had one at Casey's 2 days ago and LOVED the spicy relish they offered.

No, no, no :crazy2: - Chicago dogs are all beef, kosher dogs etc. Casey's is a glorified Oscar Mayer and I was so disappointed after all the rants and raves over here...........

We used to love Casey's. It was our tradition to eat there for our first lunch and our last meal of the week. However, there used to be 2 sizes, and now they only have the large size. We did not like the large size nearly as much as the smaller dogs. The smaller dogs had better flavor, and the large ones are greasy.

Anyone else notice this?

Do these have the skin on them ? Those are the best. I buy Hebrew national or Oscar Meyer beef at home, but I LOVE the hot dogs w/ skin. We were in Iceland for awhile...wonderful lamb dogs, w/ bearnaise sauce and french fried onion rings...so yummy !!!

The best hotdog I have ever had was actually from a street cart in Vancouver BC :)

I'll take a New York Sabrett's with the skin from a street cart right now! Gee I miss NY sometimes, but then I remember I now live 90 minutes from Mickey :rotfl2:

Also being from the Chicago area, I would have to say that Casey's dogs pale in comparison to a Chicago dog, any variety. Casey's were very, very greasy - not a taste I want in a hot dog. :crazy2:

I totally agree! I had read how great they were, but I thought they were way too greasy, and I LOVE hot dogs.

Casey's hot dogs are my favorites probably because every time I eat one I am sitting there watching the castle change colors waiting for Wishes to start! And I agree, everything tastes better at WDW!

Are the BEST as far as I am concerned. :thumbsup2 I love the fries too.

 :cool1: :cheer2:

We love Sabrett's and Nathan's franks. Even as a kid I hated Oscar Meyer's. :furious:

Casey's are great with mustard and sauerkraut. :thumbsup2 I think they also have the onion in red sauce. :stir:

I can't wait to have a few Casey dogs in April! :woohoo:

Just back and we hit Casey's last week. Can't remember exactly which day. They were pretty good. I did really like the fries though. Hubby enjoyed Casey's and wanted to go back yesterday, but I wasn't feeling well and really didn't want a hot dog.

We just got back from the World last night and ate at Casey's a couple of times (DW LOVES dogs). Casey's are a skinless boiled dog that I would rate above average. I happen to prefer a dog with a natural casing (Sabrett, Nathan's, and Hebrew National make both skinless and Natural Casing varieties). One of our biggest dissappointments this trip was that Pecos Bill's no longer has a Hot Dog combo and they also removed our favorite table that was great from which to watch Spectromagic.

The Hot Dogs at the restaurant near the American Gardens Theatre at Epcot also has dogs that appeared to be grilled! We didn't get to try them. Anyone else have any experience with those?

OMG - I love Caseys Corner! There hot dogs are good- I don't wanna know what's in them- I just know they are good! :rotfl2: And I love there fries- gotta get some cheese to dip them in!!

. I thought they tasted like the average hot dog..

;)
Heresy! although the MK "smell" might add to the enjoyment for me :teeth: ( not the smells that make you gag thread either) and mine wasn't greasy :confused3 I thought it was the best counter we got in a park except tusker house

Gotta get a hotdog and fries every trip! I, too, love sitting at the patio tables at night, watching the castle change colors. Magical!
