This ride isn't really closed from October to March, is it?! Oh no, it's DD's absolute favourite and we're booked to go in October!!! AARRGGHH!!!

I think it is actually.... Sorry!!

I think they close off that and the Storybook boats when it hits late autumn/winter....

Oh no !!! Those are a couple of our favourite rides too!! :sad2:

Hi,

I was in DLRP last november and Casey Jnr was closed :( it's one of my favourite rides too!

They are not closed all the time as we rode both this and story book ride at christmas however you may find thet are not open all the time. Its worth keeping checking tho as you may find they suddenly open for an hour or so in the middle of the day

No we rode them both in February half term, and it wasn't a weekend either. The park was fairly busy though- perhaps they open them if they expect it to be busy?

aww ive never been able to find this ride.. where exactly is it?

i was just saying to my mam that im gonna find it this year cause i wanna go on it!!

Its in a little section of Fantasyland with the Storybook ride. As you pass Small World going towards Adventureland you sort of turn right before you get to Toad Hall and the Trainstation - near where the windmill thing is

oh cool thanks! :D i had a feelin it was around there somewhere il keep an eye on when i head back over

:tink:

We were on them both in Feb this year. Each time we went to go on them they were open, and walk ons each time.

That's encouraging, Mummybear - thanks! I think it's really bad that they do close rides when it's quieter. It's not like Disney is ever empty, even when it is a quieter period - there are still always loads of people around! And there are so few rides that very little ones can go on, really, and the Storybook ride is one of them.

We have been on both these rides in October half term before although the weather was very good. Perhaps it depends on the weather and the numbers.

They close the Storybook boats ride when its raining heavily, regardless of what time of year it is.

We went from December 27th-31st 2007 and they were both open then, although if memory serves me correctly they both opened later than the other rides and closed a little earlier. I agree it's a shame that they aren't open all the time; I'm 20 and still think they're both wonderful! I wonder if half the problem is that they're so hidden away that they're not very busy simply because people don't know they're there?

We've been there at the end of january an both rides were open. Maybe because it was a very "warm" january.

Mixed experience.

I tend to visit November / December. For the majority of these times I've found that Casey and the Storybook ride have been opened - although perhaps only on certain days of the week (as published).

However, I have been one year when that entire area was boxed off.

Find it a shame they do this to this area really, as it's the one 'coaster' that young kids can ride.

We have had a mixed experiences of this too. We have been in Oct and they have been closed and at Christmas when they have been open. They usually open (if they are going to ) around 11am. WE have nearly aways been able to walk on the storybook cruise but have had long queues for casey jnr sometimes. I can understand you being disappointed . i think they are lovely little rides. My DD (5) loves Casey Jnr especially .:goodvibes
