Somehow we managed to completely miss these on our first trip in June. Can anyone tell me if there are usually long queues for these? What are the storybook boats? And are they on the park map? As I definitely didn't see it :confused3 didn't even realise they existed until reading about them on here a couple of weeks ago.

Casey Jnr is a slow-loading ride, so the queues can be misleading (the queue also winds below and behind the ride). Having said that, when we were there in June, we did Casey Jnr and the Storyboats 2 or 3 times, and we don't queue more than 15 minutes for anything :goodvibes .

They are situated close together, up a path between Alices Labyrinth and the windmill with the big buckets on it.

The Storyboats ride is lovely - like passing miniature scenes from Belle, Peter and the Wolf, the candy house from Hansel & Gretel, Little Mermaids castle, and the Emerald City from Wizard of Oz.

The Storyboats does not run when its raining, and neither ride runs all the time in low season.

Thanks Elaine, sound great. We are there for 6 days in January, do you think we stand a chance of them running at least one of the days?

Storybook ride is really called Pays de Contes des Fees - so probably on the map as this

We went between Xmas and New Year last year (so needless to say it was pretty busy!) and we rode the Storybook boats many times, and everytime it was a case of walking straight onto a boat; no queuing at all.

There was a little queue for Casey a couple of times, but we always got on the second train that arrived from the time we started queuing, if that makes sense?

They're definitely worth finding; I'm 20 and still think they're both beautiful rides!

I loove both of these!!! Especially Casey Jnr. Hope its open in January when we go :goodvibes

Casey - a rollercoaster that I will actually ride! We were there two weeks ago and walked on LPDCDF and Casey, even in August at the height of the season. In fact we queued longer in April, but then never more than 10 minutes for these rides.

There were closed during the winter months every year until this year. When we went in February this year they were both open.

Hi, when we were there in July we were asked if we wanted to stay on the story boats ride as there was no-one waiting (special offer for princesses only my DD's were told). We mistakenly joined the queue for Casey Jnr just after it had opened (at 11am) and it was our longest queue of the whole trip. You can't see how long the queue is if it is if you join before you go up the steps but believe me it is loooooonnngggg and slow. We would have been better waiting till later I think.

Les Pays de Contes des Fees has been closed every time I've been to DLP and my next visit will be no exception as they will be closed again!:sad2:

Oh well, Tower of Terror awaits

I like these two rides...but i do think its easy to miss, because we have missed it by accident before!.lol

Same here, which is a shame as I would like to try it. Casey Jr on the other hand, I have been on once, the very first time I went to Disney. It was suprisingly fast! Not THAT fast but as we weren't expecting it it knocked my uncle a little off kilter as he was filming my sister and I :rotfl:

Thanks everyone, hope they're open when we go in January, sound great and I'm sure the kids will love them both

they are both closed for my entire trip still upset at that one lol
