He couldn't be bothered to have a copy of a hard drive IN HIS PoSSESION reviewed for evidence that might help his client or at least help him navigate the case.

I will vote that he didn't go the extra mile to check Cindy's story.

I am beginning to think that his defense strategy for all his clients is "I will believe whatever you say!". His advertising motto: "I'm gullible--I really believe you didn't do it!"

All the attorneys on the defense team and nothing was ever checked. What the heck did all these people do all day? And Casey spent all that time in Baez's office and that is the best stratgie they could come up with? I think he brought her in their was so she did not have to sit in jail all day. I am wondering what the rest of the DT is thinking right now? Do you think the rest of them knew anything?

I don't know how Casey kept them straight. She was "with" Ricardo Morales on Jan. 1, 2008.
First week of Jan. she was "with" Anthony Rusciano who worked security at the night club "Latitudes".
Mid April- She breaks it off with Ricardo but still is "with" him
May3 and 6- Still together with Rusciano but he wouldn't let Caylee come over.
May 8- Back "with" Ricardo
May 21, 2008- Meets Tony Lazzaro on facebook
May 24- Ricardo goes to Tampa and Casey goes to Rusciano's house to be "with" him.
May 25- Tells a guy named Brandon Snow that she had miscarried his baby on Valentine's Day.
May 30- Back at Ricardo's house
June 1- Was "with" Tony Lazzaro for the 1st time.
June 7- Spent the night at Ricardo's with Caylee
June 10- Last time she was "with" Ricardo and the last time he saw Caylee.

She really got around. In all this, it makes me wonder what that poor baby was exposed to.

The things I ponder while in the car with my daughter. She is telling me about her math tutor and when she finishes, I say, "I don't think it had anything to do with Baez talking to Geraldo. If that was the issue, I doubt Cheney Mason would have made a statement. Why make any kind of statement if you were just reprimanded for the same thing?"

I got my iPhone! What a nightmare project THAT was! The nice young but somewhat incompetent sales guy accidentally transferred DD's phone number to it. Good thing salesguy was showing me how it works and I called DH, who was standing next to me, and DD's phone number showed up. Oy. Took another 45 minutes or so to fix...total time, about 2 hours. Normally very laid back DH was clenching his teeth, and I was getting tense about the problem, about Mr Crankypants (DH), about DD not having use of her phone. Ugh. But, I got it now! Now to learn how to use it. (Note to self: stick to the Verizon store for new phones!)

I will be in Orlando (and Celebration...beware! ) in August. With my duct tape. The whole family. (Actually, I don't think I've sold all of them on the importance of bringing duct tape with them everywhere they go...esp if I'm with them with my own. )Who wouldn't? Are you sure? Does it say that? Because Anthony Lazzaro was from NY, wasn't he? And he started seeing Casey in April I'm pretty sure. I'll re-read stuff, after I work on figuring out my phone a bit.

Oh...and I had a thought. I wonder if Lee's testimony was STAGED. That Baez knew exactly what he was going to and did say, just to make it LOOK like Lee was keeping some deep dark secret, without actually saying anything. Enough to give reasonable doubt?

It is possible of course, but Lee would have to be a reaallllly good actor to pull that off. I believe his tears and emotion were real, but I don't know WHAT emotion they were in response to.

I don't think Baez knows anything about what he is doing

It does appear from the testimony that Lee was supposed to say something, but I can hope the jury can see what I see.........there is a secret, but that secret is that Casey killed Caylee and her family is trying to cover for her as usual.

My friends and family are tired of hearing about it. I have no start on a summer tan either. My family reunion is going to interfere too.

I was just at a party last night and found a fellow CA Trial enthusiast, so we spent the majority of the time chatting about the case. Of course, this is what our DH's looked like:

I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of this trial, Baez is disbarred. He has already committed some very serious violations so far. The judge can't do anything to him now because it would be unfair to his client, but I think he is in for a major firestorm down the road, and well deserved. The friends I have who are attorneys here in KY say that Baez is one of the worst they've seen.

I'm finally caught up from the last 20 pages or so of the last thread and now this thread! You guys have been busy, but I'm grateful, keeps me knowing what's going on!

Kurby, hope all is well and baby Nicole makes her appearance SOON!

Am I remembering what I read correctly, that this could possibly go to the jury next Saturday, July 2? I'll be in MN for my sister's wedding! I have no smart phone, I am going to go crazy all afternoon wondering what's going on! As we speak, DH is out looking into mobile wifi so the two days we are driving out there I can stay connected to the happenings of the trial! I know I can listen on XM to HLN's coverage, but not sure I want my kids hearing it, not to mention DH could probably stand it for about 10 minutes and that's it!
