Casey Anthony Trial Thread #3

I am thinking the State might bring back Dr. G. as a rebuttal witness and ask her why she didn't cut open the skull. I can't wait to have her explain exactly why she saw no reason to do it. She is an excellent witness.

I am bumping this up so those that also feel NG is over the top can see the proof that she is!!

I see a different Ng than all of you. I like her and like that she stands up foR herself she could have said it nicer, but the caller said "only" and was clearly incorrect.

so why on earth didn't the prosecution bring that up?

there was no reason to cut the top off, there were many openings already in the skull right?

after the defense is done, how many witness's can the prosecution bring back?

I don't think they needed to do that ahead of this witness.

On the cross it sounds as though JA disputed it well enough, but could not get the dr to change is tune. JA could not ask questions out of scope--and if Dr G is brought up to do a rebuttal, it (I think) gives Dr G the final word on the matter. Plus they can also dispute what the male doc already has on record. So she tested--he did not. He gained nothing from opening the skull that she didn't already do and she went beyond what he did and tested.

She's not bad in terms of her believablity, but she seems to have gone to the
Billy Mays school of broadcasting with her 'in-your-face' presentation (although, I don't think she's as bad as JVM, who always seems to be ready to leap out of her chair).

:lmao:

JVM always seems angry and I cannot read where she stands. NG--she's waving all the flags and big signs of where she stands. Can't miss it.

Okay, I just got done watching the "Justice" special from last night on Fox. No, I'm not a Fox fan, just wanted to see it as she had Padilla on and I haven't seen him before. Also wanted to see if she would include the confrontation w/George Anthony (to her self-serving credit, she didn't).

I can see why neither side is jumping at the chance to put Padilla or ICA's best friend on the stand. Padilla came off as that family member most of us have that has a theory about everything that sounds logical even if there is no basis in fact. Would have a hard time believing him on the stand.

ITA! Padilla is an attention hound first and foremost, and I think the prosecutors know that putting him on the stand would do more harm than good. I also watched that Fox special and Padilla's theory actually sounds plausible to me.

Happy Father's Day! Can't help thinking what a tough day for George this is tho, you know? :(
Hope you have a good time in Italy. That's on our list.
We're going in August! Oh wait...that's the Italy pavilion in Epcot. Probaby as close as I'll ever get.
It strikes me as so odd that Casey Anthony, likely one of the biggest liars in the world, had 30 days to concoct a story about her deceased daughter and in that time frame, she couldn't have come up with something a little more foolproof than a fake nanny story? It took her close to 3 years to come up with the accidental drowning story? How odd.
Honestly, I'm not so sure how much she thought it out in those 30 days. I think as things came up, she spit out an answer.

Definitely hope to see Dr G again!

Mixed emotions about NG. I'm sort of amused at her approach. Sometimes I wonder why the "experts" go on her show if she's just going to cut them off, but they know what they're getting into. It's just her schtick. She's not normally "the type" of person I like, but hey...I like her! :confused3 I record every TV show on HLN from 4 PM to 9 PM, but almost never watch and just delete them, because I'm too trialed out by the end of the day. I should check tho to see who the guests are first, in case there's anyone good.

what was his theory?
Ditto!

isn't he the one who bailed casey out 3 years ago?

she's been back in jail for how long and he still thinks he's relevant?

ya he's an attention hound

The only thing I've heard him say that I believe so far is that after he bailed Casey out she didn't do one thing to try to find her daughter (who was supposedly missing). Even though that is all she said she wanted to do when she got out, according to the jail videos.

how does bail work in the states?

you put up say 10 grand, they get out of jail. they go to trial and convicted or aquitted you get your money back - right?

if they run the court issues a warrent for arrest and you lose your money.

soooo why did they need a bail bondsman? why didn't they put up their house?

and why did she end up back in jail if she was bailed out?

She is the host, Justice with "Judge" Jeanine Pirro (sorry 'bout that)

I've erased it and have heard so many theories, but I believe he was saying she killed her, carried the body in the trunk, then threw the body into the brush that was in that wooded area (the pics they showed it's been thinned out now) and went on her merry way.

well that's the states theory too - so all that means is that he is watching the trial ;)

Ah, OK. Is this something else I'm going to have to DVR? ;)

I googled "Leonard Padilla theory Casey Anthony" and boy, there have been a lot of them! :)

Nah, it was mostly just a re-hashing of everything, with their own 'experts' adding their opinions, including everyone's favorite Dr. Baden. Like I said, I was watching because I haven't seen Padilla before, and also I was wondering if they'd show the confrontation w/George, but they didn't.

He thinks she did chloroform her and put her in the trunk on the night of June 16 and she died. I think he said she used to use Xanax but she could no longer afford it and then went to learn to make chloroform. This was b/c Tony would not let Caylee sleep over, when her other boyfriends would. She started dating Tony in June.

She dumped her in the woods b/c that is where they buried their pets when they were kids. He thinks Roy got his info from LE who listened in on jailhouse conversations since his girlfriend worked at the jail. I think that is far fetched and if someone knew the body was there they would have made sure it was found in August, not just waited around.

He has some reasonable points and some way-out-there ones. None of us will ever know though!

Dr. Baden.

I will never buy that Casey put Caylee in the trunk in June in Florida NOT expecting her to die, if she did in fact put her in the trunk after chloroforming her. I could actually buy a story that Caylee drowned in the pool and Casey (without George there) panicked and hid her body. But all this other stuff...no.
