Yeah, but she won't spend one second of it mourning Caylee. She'll spend it mourning the loss of her party days and good times.

Prisoners don't take kindly to inmates who hurt/kill children.

Is she in solitary confinement now? With the horrific crimes, especially those against children, don't they usually put them in solitary to protect those prisoners?

Watching Nancy Grace, she says that the defense expert today admitted that he was hired by the defense BEFORE Caylee's remains were identified. Did anyone else notice this? How much trouble could Baez be in for that?

Lemme get this straight. Casey lived with her parents and talked about Zanny the Nanny for years right? How do you never meet the nanny over years? Wouldn't you have, somewhere down the line, met the nanny? Wouldn't at least one of your friends have met the nanny? Nobody thought it was weird that, over years, the nanny was never seen?

I think it goes back to all her lies and her extremely gullible parents.

Once again I have relied on the thread to keep me up to date on the case, much appreciated!
Im sorry that some may feel unwelcome here. When there is an emotional attachment to something, people can easily become caught up in it. But I have to say, I really have not seen mean spirited posts from anyone. I very much enjoy reading the differing opinions on the case,

I sometimes wonder how this case even moves forward at times. Like today, the NO bugs...I mean, if a body was in a laundry bag then stuffed in a plastic bag and then removed within 2 days (per the Expert that actually taught the bug guy that testified today) , what impact does that have to the case? So what! The body was not in the car long enough to go thru all that was surrounding it. (RIP baby girl )
The same with the NO Blood on the steering wheel, no blood in the car seat. So what! What is the relevance, its not alleged she was Cut??
Its all a diversion, an attempt to muddy the waters...I can only continue to believe that the jury is actually able to "hear" the evidence and then "follow it" to come to a just decision.
I have to say that I too think she is guilty based on one simple fact....she never reported her child missing and then compounded it with lie after lie! And I believe she would not have ever done it, and Thank goodness her mom who finally had enough and demanded that the Police become involved.
I always think how Beyond Awful it must be for the parents and brother. Imagine what they must be living thru, because in their heart of hearts they know, A) that the child did not drown B) their daughter lies about everything c) they have the same missing items, the laundry bag, the plastic bag, the duct tape, that just happen to be with their dead grandchild D) they smelled DEATH in that vehicle, and nothing can justify or explain that..it is beyond comprehension and I pray that They can somehow survive thru what is to come........for Casey is still their daughter, regardless. Tragic

That's one of the questions that just has me stumped. I keep thinking that its just Cindy covering but I just can't quite figure if anyone else remembers the name as well.. And it can't really be years, can it? Caylee was only 2 1/2. We just don't know a lot about her life before about Mar 08 when she started meeting all these new people.

I know! Was she actually a pretty decent mom up until that point? Was her life fairly mundane; raising a kid, not many friends, lying to make her life seem more exciting, etc. and suddenly she had these new-found friends and the burden of a child? I wish we had more insight into Casey before this all happened.

hummmm - now this guy on NG is saying it's like an INS policy to have someone on your side just in case you may need him. hummm

George is law enforcement. My guess is that, if anyone would have a good idea of how to properly dispose of a body and clean up evidence, you'd think it would be him. If he had anything to do with getting rid of Caylee's body, then wouldn't he have known how to do it right?

While I agree with you...I think you just posted a theory of why defense is attempting to discredit that there was a dead body in the car. It doesn't fit with their story.

Yes, and Casey knew there had been a dead body in the car, tried to cover up the smell with garbage, and tried to ditch the car when the smell wouldn't go away.

Thinking impartially - if George was in on this with her, couldn't she go to him with this problem? And wouldn't he have helped her get rid of the car?

Argument against that - she didn't go to George for help, he didn't help her ditch the car, he was even the one who went to pick up the car from the tow yard.

Conclusion - George had no clue what was going on. He wasn't involved. Casey acted alone.

Further - if Casey acted alone, then can we rule out the fact that it wasn't an accident? Is that too big a leap to make? The duct tape is indeed the smoking gun in this case. We keep coming back to the question that if it was an accident, what was the duct tape for?

They were also saying that he was probably called in to examine the car and they just happen to find the body of Caylee on the same day. So they used him for both.

Sadly, she's still not going to think about being in jail for killing Caylee ... she's going to blame her imprisonment on Baez & Co. for not doing good enough of a job to get her off.

Seriously, she could have the dream team of legal counsel and still not walk and she'll blame them for her being in prison. It will never dawn on her that murdering her kid had a big something to do with being there.

I am not trying to trivialize any one's opinion. I said I understand where you are coming from. I just see nothing on this thread that ever gives any sort of pass to the defense. Baez is referred to as Bozo. No matter what he says or does, he is stupid. I don't agree with everything he does, but he is trying to do his job. Yet, everything the state does is great. From this, I got the message that, emotionally, people on this thread are so vested in the case against Casey that they will never admit to anything that could point to anything positive presented by the defense.

When I say that I am looking at it from an academic position, I am simply trying to say that I only care about the mechanics of the case. In the end, my opinion on her guilt or innocence means nothing. I am not the one who will be deciding.

Am I interested in the case? Absolutely! I just don't hate anyone over it. Sorry. I realize that it is an unpopular stance. There has not been a single day in the past three years that I haven't had to hear about this case. So, I guess I have been over saturated and just don't care enough to hate anyone.

I will now depart from this thread. While I've been told that other viewpoints are welcome here, when I post something from another viewpoint, I feel like I am very unwelcome. I don't want to rain on any one's parade.

For the record, I do think Casey is guilty.

I agree with you completely. And you have every right to stay on this thread. While most don't agree with what we are saying, I think they don't mind a difference in opinion. And for the few who may want you off the thread, just ignore them. The confused smiley posts shouldn't chase anyone away. I think we are all trying to be civil.

How long before/after Caylee's death did the Sawgrass episode?
And, did Casey really think something would've come of Zaneida Gonzales being called in for questioning? Did she think her lie would come true? Seriously!?

I'm sure it was more of a wild goose chase to buy time, but she had to know that nothing would come out of it once Zanaida was found ... except to make herself look like an even bigger liar. Not good for ICA, you know?

Who knows? But it she probably had the same thought bubbles with her tour of Universal Studios/her faux work place. I think at some point she expects folks to go "Oh well, okay--since you say this, it must be true."

She thinks that people will buy her BS. It seems that after 3 years in jail--she still thinks that.

From what I can see, the real Zaneida filled out a card at Sawgrass on June 17th, one day after Caylee was last seen. Was that the same day that Casey and Tony went to that apartment complex?



I had only read that she talked about having a nanny for years. The only person I heard specifically say the name Zanny was Cindy and I don't believe much of what she says. Did any of her friends testify that they had heard about Zanny for years? It really would be odd that she had a fake nanny that she named Zanny and a day after her daughter dies, she stumbles on the name Zaneida.

Another tidbit. Casey had no ID that day, so could not view the apt. I have no idea if Tony saw it without her. But if he did and she stayed behind in the office--a liar would be perfectly capable of snooping to get more ideas for the web she was weaving.

No problem! Unlike many people, I am trying to look at the case from a purely academic standpoint. I guess I have been so inundated with info and pictures from the beginning, that I am just over it. To me, it is just a sad case, like so many others. I am not letting emotion play a part in my evaluation of the trial proceedings.

I think people on this thread are so caught up in the sadness of the situation and the hatred toward Casey that they can't be objective. I know I'll get flamed for this statement, but I feel it is true. I understand where they are coming from, but I really think they are letting their emotions cloud how they interpret things.

Having said that, I am much more emotionally invested in more recent cases. Today, they announced that the parents of two children in this area were sentenced for aggravated child abuse. The children didn't die, but they were starved and beaten to the point of scars. The parents got two years. Our justice system is messed up!

I was out all day so I'm still working my way through all the posts but I couldn't let this particular comment pass without a reply. I personally don't hate Casey. It may be difficult to believe but it's the God's honest truth. Probably what I most feel towards her is pity.

My pity towards her, it's hard to explain. But I do believe, however messed up our current justice system is, and I do believe it's messed up, if found guilty by a jury of peers, she needs to do her time.

However, I feel the most sorrow for Caylee. She didn't deserve to be dumped like trash.

Isn't that odd? With the technology we have today, you would think people would be on Facebook or Twitter talking about knowing Casey "back in the day." This is where those people that crave their 15 minutes of fame tend to come out of the woodwork but they haven't in this case.
