Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

The neck brace guy was in the audience yesterday and today. He says it is very entertaining to be in the courtroom.

"Serious trauma occurred in this home." How can a psychologist who never interviewed any of the Anthony's say this??

To Caylee or to Casey?

I think many want to try to blame something for the way Casey is--but a number of experts just by witnessing her trial behavior and reviewing past documented behavior are saying she is a sociopath. My understanding--a sociopath is born, not raised. Or can someone BECOME a sociopath due to trauma?

They showed a piece on one of the local news stations about the
"running for the trial tickets". It was crazy. For the most part, it was all middle age women. When they opened, it reminded me of Toy Story Mania at rope drop. Insane!

Ooohhhh--maybe they should offer fastpass.:lmao:

She was referring to Casey. I just don't think any reputable psychologist would make such an assumption, especially using the word trauma, just from seeing the family on tv.

Ditto.

Innocent until proven guilty, right.

I don't think, now--in restrospect, that George and Cindy have done anything to that girl. If anything--she traumatized them, made life difficult and they were just at their wits end with her.

Yeah--there was trauma in the home. But the shrink has the wrong victim.

I really think George and Cindy were "those" parents; the ones we love to talk about on The Dis. The parents that think their little snowflake can do no wrong. The parents that think everyone else is wrong and their baby is right. I think they would have defended Casey to the very end if she would have simply gone with the "Caylee accidentally drowned and I panicked" defense. They spent months searching for their granddaughter and the "kidnappers," but all would have been forgiven when Casey changed her story to the accidental drowning scenario. In a way, I am almost glad they are going with the sex abuse claims. I think that was the wake up call that George and Cindy needed.

I've been thinking and thinking about her searches and then this diary entry

I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out okay.I completely trust my own judgement & know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means.I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see -- This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time.I hope that my happiness will continue to grow -- I've made new friends that I really like. I've surrounded myself with good people -- I am finally happy. Let's just hope that it doesn't change.

I really think now that she was researching ways to kill her family...Mom, Dad and maybe even Lee. I also wonder if she maybe used Caylee as a trial subject to see how long it would take for chloroform it takes to knock someone out and since Caylee was so little she over dosed her? Maybe she was digging in different spots in the yard to find spots to bury the family and not Caylee since Caylee wasn't really supposed to die. But since she did, she had to then bury her too so she was moving her to different spots.

Then when she realized it wasn't going to work, she took off and the trail of lies started.

i just think George and Cindy (especially her) have been in utter denial. they should of knew immediately that when their granddaughter was missing for 30 days that something was up. I mean, did Casey lie like this during other times? Im sure she did and got away with tons!

Good points.

And I do agree with the last 2 statements.

I really don't know why Casey felt the need to lie about that aspect. But I guess they felt they needed a way to explain the lies and "everyone grieves" differently.

Hi Everyone...Long time lurker coming out of hiding.:flower3: I want to thank everyone for the updates, as my company(large insurance company) just kicked us out of the live feed. I must say I cannot believe it took them this long. So now I will need the constant updates, and pray my computer can refresh fast enough! Have a happy court day tomorrow!

But grieving for Casey means not reporting to authorities her daughter is missing? That sounds just so unique... :rolleyes1:sick:

I too believe she was looking for how to stage the break-in attack on her parents. How else was she getting the house as she told her friends?

Sure there was significant trauma in that home! Just try living with a sociopath!!!

Can't you just see KC getting all the way to the highschool stage, putting her hands in her back pockets and...."I'm not really graduating.".

JUST A REMINDER...EVERY SO OFTEN I PUT A LINK OR OTHER INFORMATION IN THE FIRST POST.

GA's exwife reports he has a lying problem also. She spoke of a possible genetic link. I have seen the same in families with this disorder. I don't know anything about the ex or where she is coming from with observation. Dr. D says he spoke with her.

Can you put a link for the defense witness list? I know someone was looking and I couldnt remember where I saw it. Thank you

WELCOME! There are some really good analysts here!

Ive been reading all of your thoughts, assessments, musings and speculations and have to say I agree with a lot of it. This is such a complex case and not because of the evidence. I just stop and think and realize that we will never know the real truth.

Ive also been wondering what Casey's life was before Feb/Mar 08. This seems to be when she started meeting Amy & Ricardo and then went on to Tony and his friends. Where did she hang out before then ? Anywhere? What did she do when she pretended to be at work? Go back home? Did she have a social life? With who? So many questions and I just don't think the answers will come.

I do see something off with George. I don't see him as a strong presence with strong convictions. I see him quite weak. But I don't see him as evil. Lost maybe, but not evil.

See that is my question too...we know she was stealing money from friends and family. However, if you are living with your parents, how long would it be before they would be questioning why you can or can't pay for things. Unless they paid for absolutely everything and wanted to be completely oblivious to her lies because they were so taken with Caylee and scared she would run off with the baby.

This family is extremely disfunctional, but they had a complete physco path for a daughter.
