On one of the 911 calls Casey asks Cindy "for one more day".

While a dispatcher was transferring Cindy Anthony to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a snippet of the mother and daughter's conversation was captured.

Cindy Anthony: 'Cause my next thing will be down to child (inaudible) thing and we'll have a court order to get her. If that's the way you want to play, we'll do it and you'll never. . .

Casey Anthony: That's not the way I want to play. . .

Cindy Anthony: Well then you have. . .

Casey Anthony: Give me one more day.

Cindy Anthony: No, I'm not giving you another day, I've given you a month. . .

The conversation, and the recording ended when an Orange County Sheriff's Office dispatcher picks up the line.

So what was going to happen in one more day?

Were George and Cindy going to be killed by Caylee's "kidnappers"? Was the neck breaking and other searches for her parents demise?

Just think, if that happened Casey would have the house, Tony could come over at anytime and stay (like she told him would be happening soon), Amy could move in like she told her they were going to do (this went so far that Amy had already had her mail forwarded to the Hopespring house before Casey finally told her it was off) and Casey really could be living her good life.

I have thought this, too. They might be very lucky that they didn't give her one more day!

Alternatively, I thought she might have headed out to California to see Mark H. She was keeping in touch with him and I think seeing him as a potential back-up. So she could have gone out to California, told him Caylee was staying behind with the grandparents, told Cindy and George she'd taken Caylee with her to California and that she didn't want to talk to them any more because they were too "pushy" and there you go! She might have gotten away with that for quite a while.

I'm going to go on such a long stretch right now, that it will qualify me to be a Yogi supreme or at the very least, qualify me for the 2012 Olympics in gymnastics...

I can totally see where the defense is going with this grief thing. But there is one HUGE HUGE HUGE problem/red flag/issue with this "everyone grieves differently" schtick of theirs.

Usually when folks are "grieving differently"--someone....anyone...real, not ficticious is aware that there is something to grieve about.

So the two widows that I know, who in their grief, made extremely quick decisions to remarry when not a darn thing was wrong with their marriage a few months prior until their spouse died---well...we knew that they were in grief and we knew why they were in grief even if we did not necessarily grieve with their decision.

Or the times when someone loses a loved one and they decide to do something fun or in memory to "celebrate" the life of that person--okay....but photos from such events will show the glee happy go lucky whatever (such as below), but it would be contrasted with photos or witnessed moments of contemplation or mourning. But the common factor--folks know that something happened to someone.

So even George and Cindy--when they went on their cruise and likely had a good time while they were on it, whether or not folks agreed with that cruise, one thing was for certain. They probably needed a break to get their mind off of their daily suffering and we all know why they were suffering and it was not forgotten even if they went on their cruise....

Then we have the pictures below. Not one single person anywhere on this planet, let alone those parties, had any clue that Casey no longer had a child--missing or deceased.

So sure--everyone "Grieves differently". Heck, they can even be in denial. But most often, folks in their circle are aware that a death happened.

Not so for Casey.

Good luck for the jury to buy that big stretch of logic. It would require a suspension of disbelief and just like a bad magic act, we can see what makes the "trick" work.

I thought Judge Perry made it pretty clear to Baez that even if he takes the deposition of this new "expert" - that does not mean it will be allowed in court. Was that just me? It just seemed he was telling Baez not to waste his time in a roundabout way.

I haven't been able to watch 100% of the coverage-especially the audio/video portions. Once she admitted that she had lied about having a job at Universal (or anywhere for that matter) has anyone asked WHY she dropped Caylee with a babysitter?

Side bar:

Wouldn't have believed such a thing happens in real life and it just did!

A neighbor found a child roaming the neighborhood whose family knew she was missing, but didn't report it or go looking for her. From the time my neighbor spotted her, my 3 calls to 911 (due to confusion--the girl had a handful of mail from a house that ended up not being her house--so she stole mail, too!), the police showing up and us finally doing our best to help her find her house (She spoke no English, was afraid of the officers and did not know her address)--an hour had elapsed.

When we finally found her house--you would have thought we were door to door sales man trying to sell them a vacuum. They were so indifferent.:confused3

When the officer came back to my house to pick up his car--he let us know that the mother was going to jail. My neighbor, since she found her would get a subpoena to testify.

I just don't get it.

The reason they did not report her missing or look for her: They were afraid. :confused3

It has been over 2 hrs...and the other police car is still in front of my house.

Girl was only about 4-5 years old.

I don't think it should be allowed....

He had 3 years. Is he just now realizing she "grieves differently"?:confused3

Good point, I think you are absolutely correct! If Cindy had given her "one more day," *poof* the next day Casey would have gotten Caylee back and they would be gone on vacation...

That's a really good question 'n no, I haven't heard anyone address that.

Ohhh judge just said SPecific... very clearly. LOL

Are they illegals and afraid they will be deported? But that doesn't explain them not looking for her? Is this a game they play - go out and steal the mail so we can search for cash and gift cards? I mean, really!!! What kind of craziness is this?!!!!!

I was just reading Richard Hornsby's blog and he brings out a good point and one which makes me nervous about his trial. There is a big possibility that Casey can file an appeal based on inneffective counsel. Baez has repeatedly missed deadlines, makes cross examination erros, doesn't file motions on time. I wonder if Judge Perry will just allow it in order to avoid more for this possiblity.

OK, I've seriously been slacking. I last read at page 115. :scared1: needless to say, I have some reading to do. I've been reading updates on ABC News at night but not keeping up here. I'll do better next time. :thumbsup2

This has been my concern from the very beginning when it became evident that Baez was out of his league. (sorry that I don't recall when I Came to that conclusion--but it has been a concern of mine for at least 2 years. )

I would have to say it also depends on what Casey's reasons are. While all those are valid reasons....

We don't really know if he was "ineffective".

Casey's idea of "effective" would be someone who could get her exonerated. If they can't do that, it would (of course) be their fault.

Her bond.

Forgive me, I don't know... Was Casey bonded out? I understand she bonded out for one night at one point before being re-arrested.... was she up for bond again only didn't have the money and has stayed in? The last three years was their potential for bond?

As for how this woman kept her details straight, I have no idea, I cannot remember my own relatives information in such depth... I need lessons I suppose...

Somehow I still have this feeling they will come back as not guilty as with OJ.... Maybe it will be like Scott Peterson with the death penalty... I feel trepidation over it.

I don't know why she had the mail. She actually took it a few streets further than where she picked it up and was just playing with it. I couldn't tell you why.:confused3

I just had never heard anyone use fear as an excuse to not report a missing child. I thought that was just a Casey Anthony thing. ;)
