As far as whether the abuse is relevant. They are using a partial Ugly coping defense. They are claiming she is so mentally disturbed from all the abuse she has suffered that she doesn't have normal reactions, hence the partying and inappropriate behavior.

No offense, but we have yet to see a proof of that. Just because Casey didn't tell Tony doesn't mean it never happened.
I have a bad feeling about this. So far all they've managed to prove is that Casey is a liar and we all knew that already. I hope they have some actual, physical evidence somewhere because if they don't, Casey might just walk.

Because if Tony would have said that George had any sexual contact it would prove him right. He was handed a direct blow today. And it does not have a reflection on killing her daughter.

Lisa beat me to the punch but I wouldn't have gotten hooked on this trial if it weren't for this thread, the links (Thanks, Mare! I'm still studying the timeline) & DH saying "You HAVE to see this!!!" during opening arguments.

Now that I've jumped in, I'll share another concern because I generally play devil's advocate and try to see 2 sides of every story - maybe someone can throw out a theory?

The Sexual Abuse Teaching Casey to Lie theory: I'm aware traumatic experiences at a young age can instill a pattern of denying feelings, keeping secrets (yet acting "normal" around other people). However...why was KC able to show emotion during JB's opening arguments relating to her incestual abuse? Was she suddenly "cured" and able to express emotions?

What continues to amaze me is this girl is a known liar. She lies about everything! NOW, all of the sudden, THIS one thing is the truth? She's never told the truth in her life. All she's ever done is create bigger lies to cover other lies. This one, for me, is the biggest one yet.

And if Baez really believe this, then he's like that girl who dates the cheater and thinks she is different and he will never cheat on her!

That's another timeline. It's a pdf, a very long pdf, but also very informative and easy to read.

I started counting how many people CA alleged to be the father of Caylee but I lost count.

It mentions that Jesse paid for and took a DNA test. He wasn't the father. It mentions "someone in the army", an Eric, a Jose, and "someone from Tennessee. There may be more listed but as I mentioned, I started to lose count.

Of course we also know that George and Lee had paternity tests too.

It just makes me so sad to think that somewhere there was a father and he never knew it. Now with everything having been in the news, does some guy wonder if Caylee was his? That he lost a child he never knew he had?

I think 2 of the guys CA alleged to be the father have since passed but still, it's just sad to me.

They dont have proof that it did happen. Just because she wrote it down does not make it so. The state is the only one that has to prove anything. All Baez has done is make an opening statement throwing everyone else under the bus. He made a statement that Kronk hid her body what proof do they have he did that?

Tony told the judge and Baez the only thing he knew was and that he took it as was discipline. Tony used the word hitting. Nothing more. I believe she is very responsible for her actions. Molestation has no bearing on her daughters issue. Baez wanted to hear from tony that it was George she revealed to Tony.

tony calls casey at 3:08 a.m. (15 mins), she checks voicemail at 7:45 a.m., tony calls her at 11:47 a.m. (20 mins), and again at 1 p.m. (14 mins); still pinging at or near parents' home (though george says casey and caylee left around 12:50 p.m.; he gets to work at 3 p.m.), she calls amy huizenga at 1:44 p.m. (36 mins); jesse grund calls her at 2:52 p.m. (11 mins); her dad calls her at 3:04 p.m. (26 secs), then she calls tony at 3:35 p.m.(22 secs); at 4:11 p.m. she begins calling a lot of people: cindy twice (3 secs and 2 secs), the lexus of orlando for 98 secs; tony lazarro 58), jesse grund for 75) -- all between 4:11-4:21; she appears to be on the move north when she calls cindy again at 4:25 p.m., heading a bit west (3 secs); no pings from 4:53-5:57 p.m., when the phone is heading northwest, hitting near Tony's apartment; then at 6:30 p.m., calls cindy (3 secs) and family home (17 seconds) then home again at 7:06 p.m. (83 seconds); still at or near's Tony's she calls Amy at 7:21, (goes to Blockbuster with Tony to rent movie at 7:58 p.m.--NO CAYLEE ON TAPE); gets texts from Amy at 11:17 p.m., then phone goes quiet for 11 and a half hours.

You're welcome! It's been amazing all the people here who posted links and provided information...I just plopped them (and made them pretty and semi-organized ) in the first post. We've got a better team here than Casey's defense team.

About her emotions. Jose said that Casey held Caylee, sobbing after George found her dead. Did she really so easily bounce back after that, THAT NIGHT?

I can't wait to hear what the defense is going to say about what happened next...who got rid of the body and where. Are they going to say that George did that? And George just let Casey LEAVE after something like that? What happened?? And what in the world can be their theory about Roy Kronk and the body? (Gotta admit...that whole Roy Kronk thing is just bizarre.)

I have to say...I wonder about Lee. Maybe he knows what happened, and helped Casey. Maybe he knows Ray Kronk, and had him move the body, or find the body, in exchange for letting him collect the reward money. MAYBE...the defense is going to say that Roy Kronk was in cahoots with George.

I'm beginning to think that Roy Kronk may be the key to answers. Maybe?

I think two people got killed in car accidents, and one did something like put a gun in a plastic bag and went out on a surf board or something and shot himself (this was BEFORE Casey's death). One of those 3 was very questionable about actually having a relationship with her.

You have to wonder what the families of those deceased men think.

That thougnt crossed my mind was he in on with someone to collect a reward? I see a mound of evidence that the state has. Is Lee on the witness list? That does sound interesting. I will be on the way to the doctor then. I hope a station on sirius is covering this. I know HLN is after In Session, but I wonder if it is before that also.
