Casey is a good liar but she loves the limelight. That will be her downfall. She might disguise herself, but she will not be happy to lead a "down low" life.

You know some rag mag is going to pay big bucks for the first photos of Casey spotted out of prison and in public.

We had a case where a young married couple raped, tortured and killed two girls. They were both sent to prison. He got life but she played the poor unwilling accomplice and got a plea deal - manslaughter and 12 yrs. in prison. When she got out, she changed her name and moved, but was soon discovered and her new name was released. She's managed to keep her head down. I haven't heard about her in the media for awhile now. It was a big case at home but did not receive huge attention much outside of my area.

However, I don't see Casey keeping her head low. I think she'll love that people are looking for her, wanting her photo, etc.

The names Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo bring shivers to the average Canadian for the rape and murdered spree they enjoyed in the early 1990s. I feared for my own daughter’s well-being before those killers were caught, and she was only 13 years old at the time. But then their victims, Leslie Mahaffy was only 14 and Kristen French 15. They liked them young; including Karla’s little sister Tammy Lyn, 15, whom they drugged and raped.

Bernardo languishes for eternity in prison, where he belongs. He has been declared a dangerous offender. That he was also the Scarborough Rapist simply added to his horror show. Karla, on the other hand, made what is routinely called “a deal with the devil.” The Crown made a deal with her in exchange for her testimony against Paul. This deal was made prior to finding the video tapes which pretty well proved that she was as evil and guilty as he was.

The government could have cancelled the deal which included a proviso that she not lie. But she did. There was another rape victim but Karla pretended only to remember her in a dream. This was hogwash. The upshot was that Karla Homolka went to prison (some people called it Club Fed) for 12 years and was then released. She has changed her name to Karla Teale, and has since had a child (allegedly with a bisexual porn star — charming) and reportedly lives somewhere in the Caribbean. She is eligible to seek a full pardon in July of this year having lived a crime-free life since her release from jail in 2005. How do we actually know her life has been crime free? The National Parole Board has said that the Criminal Records Act doesn’t allow board members to distinguish between the types of crimes committed, but rather to ensure that the convict is eligible. The type of crimes committed should surely play a significant role in both the punishment and the possibility of a pardon.

Pardoning Karla Homolka would make a total mockery of Canadian law, just as it would if serial child killer Clifford Olson was pardoned. THIS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED. Please do whatever you can to stop this so-called legal fiasco. Write, call, demonstrate — whatever it takes — Karla’s evil crimes must never be wiped clean from her record. She must be tainted with the same brush as her former husband, the despicable Bernardo. They are both evil incarnate and a pardon for her flies in the face of everything we believe as decent human beings."

John Morgan wants to depose her in jail so she can't skip.

Her attorney may appeal her lying charges so that she can plead the 5th in the civil case deposition situation.

I dont know if LE would go after her for some charges as she was found guilty of lying and try to recover some of the costs.

Taking the 5th wouldnt do any good because it is like an admission of guilt in a civil case

I know that JPC says he can't be the father because he didn't meet Casey until 2007, but I always thought wow - they look so much alike:

JMO right now I am still wondering about Mark H. I think he should get a paternity test just to be sure.

In his deposition he said:

On July 17, 2008, I received a phone call from Mr. Mark Hawkins; he advised he knows Mrs. Anthony. Mr. Hawkins is an active duty Marine stationed in 29 Palms, California. Mrs. Anthony and Mrs. Hawkins were communicating on almost a daily basis via telephone and internet. Approximately a week ago from July 17, 2008, Mrs. Anthony told Mr. Hawkins that she was planning a trip to California and she needed to tell him something. Mrs. Anthony said she told her mother and brother, and she did not know how he would react about what she had to tell him.

This is the same guy who Casey was cheating on Jesse with and who was dating "Tara" who was also Lee's girlfriend. (Tara was who Lee posted the rant on his own myspace as breaking his heart and aborting his (Lee's) child).

Could be Lee hated Mark for being with Tara, and if Casey came up pregnant with Mark's child I could imagine Cindy and Casey not wanting to tell him - sounds like he was in a deep depression.

According to Lee's blogs and other sources, apparently, Tara was pregnant by Lee and went back to Mark and told Mark the baby was his. She then got an abortion, never told Lee, divorced Mark, and is now in Michigan with yet another man, possibly her now husband. I have also read that Casey, before all of this, had an affair with Mark which resulted in Caylee.

I know some people wish everyone would just give up on this case, but I'm glad there's still a discussion. You never know what truth might surface

Yep ... that would be them. She is and always will be a monster! Who does that to their sister let alone two innocent girls. Ahhh ... but a different case. However, both outcomes sucked ... Casey gets off scott free and Karla gets an easy plea deal.

I've been lurking on this thread for awhile and I came saw something today I felt I needed to share.

DH and I went out to a restaurant for lunch today and our waitress had Bella Vita tattooed on her arm. DH couldn't resist and asked her if she gets lots of comments on it. She said she has been getting asked about it ALOT and said it is really bothering her. She said if it wasn't so hot out right now she would wear long sleeves to cover it, but for now she just has to deal with the questions and comments from people. She also said looking her own tattoo makes her sad for Caylee everytime she sees it. I'm sure in time that will most definitely pass, but for now that would be a weird problem to have.

It's so strange that a case like this can affect people in ways you would never think of. It makes you realize that the consequences of something like this, no matter how small, are so far reaching.

Someone needs to tell her that if she didn't go pimping out her story, this wouldn't be happening to her. And, just shut up about it now. Talking to the media more is only going to make it worse. What an idiot ... further proof that these jurors weren't the brightest bulbs ...

Hope that Disney trip was worth it, honey!

I am so tired of the replay of Juror #3. no hard evidence....take a hard look at it....blah blah blah. I think the job of reasoning and analysis was hard for her. jBs explanation was simple, inconsistent and unfounded, but not hard to understand.

She should have her facebook set to private and if her so called "friends" are that crass as to be that forward with her, she should probably delete them. And her e-mail is public?

OK - on the Florida Tot Manslaughter case ...

1. Tiffany Mitchell is in her early 20's.
2. Tiffany Mitchell said her first instinct was to lie.
3. Told police that she didn't know where baby got the Oxycodone from. Later admits that she left it on her night stand.
4. Baby's name is Caylen (Kaylyn? Caylyn, sp?)
5. Tiffany Mitchell says it was an accident.
6. She kinda resembles
7. Talking heads on JVM are wondering if Tiffany had a prescription for Oxycodone or not. So, JVM asked Tiffany's lawyer if she has a prescription and he's beating around the bush and won't answer yes/no question saying it's not relevant. (Ha - it most certainly is relevant seeing they can get her on possession) They're saying it is negligence just leaving it in a toddler's reach.
8. Tiffany claims toddler took 1 tablet only. (Autopsy will prove this) Talking heads say if that's not true, she's screwed as it will look like she was giving her more.
9. Speculating whether mom gave her oxycodone to make her sleep or not.
10. Tiffany out on bail.

This would make for an interesting trial as well.

I am secretly hoping that Baez & Co. are withholding this info. from her and will let her find out on her own!!! It kind of sounds like they've already washed their hands of her at this point!
