Hi everyone. I'm working to become a data analyst and spent some time working with posted wait times at Walt Disney World.
I looked specifically at:
  1. Posted wait times before Covid-19 compared to wait times as recently as December 2021
  2. The best time to travel if only worried about wait times
  3. The effect that new attractions/lands have on existing wait times
For the most part, the purpose of working through this was to practice my database queries on SQL and get some experience on Tableau. It was fun working with data that I feel very invested in.

If you have 5 minutes, I'd appreciate any thoughts/discussions/feedback. The displays are viewed best in presentation mode. All data was made available by TouringPlans.com and is cited in the presentation.

Very interesting. I think I was really shocked at how overall wait times have decreased when all I read/hear about are complaints about long lines.

It also jives with the information that fastpass+ contributed to higher wait times. Smugglers run pre fast pass and post fast pass is a nice case study on it.
