Casaway Caye Cabana Info

I am a Platinum member with Disney and am hoping to secure a cabana on a 5 night cruise in June with a double dip at Castaway Caye. Any information on how to secure one, which numbers are the best, and any other info.

We are a group of 9....but I have 4 16 year olds who want their own cabana....no not sure if the rest of us with get one....or maybe we get 2.

As a group of 9 you can get one cabana. The basic price covers up to 6 people. You can add up to 4 additional people at $50.00 per person (max of 10 in each cabana).

Not sure you can book 2 cabanas, but maybe. You'll be paying for the basic 6 people for each of them.

You'll let shoreside Concierge know your requests around 125 days out from the cruise. And, at 120 days out, they will book whatever you ask for.

A group of 9 would fit into the Grand Cabana on Family beach. $966.43. A family beach cabana holding 6 is $643.93 in the high season, which starts in March. As Princess Shmoo noted, each additional person would be $50.

Being on a larger ship, getting one, let alone two cabanas would be difficult unless you are concierge. I was not aware that shoreside Concierge books for platinum members (I defer to Princess Shmoo on this), but your best bet otherwise is to get online at midnight eastern time the day platinum booking opens. With 9 people you would have two cabins, so theoretically each cabin could book a cabana. But only cabins with a platinum member could book at the early time.

Also note - cabanas are a portside activity, and persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. It might not be possible to book a cabana for four 16 year olds.

Quellman is right. I misread the OP's post. Platinum can book at 120 days out directly, Concierge hosts won't help with that.

If they are able to book 2 cabanas (one for each room), each room has an over 18 booked into it. Wouldn't matter if the second cabana was primarily used by the younger people in the group.

Yup - We are sailing concierge on that cruise and requested a cabana for first day at Serenity and they were gone. I completely spaced out and forgot to send in my email until after work the first day we could submit requests, and it was too late. We were able to snag one at the family beach and are debating what to do since were are traveling adults only on this trip.

On the plus side, all adults can still use the Family Beach.

There was someone on here not long ago who was trying to figure out what to do with her kid (like if an exception could be made) because the only one left was on Serenity Bay.

We are Platinum and are doing a back to back on the Dream this March. I got up for midnight and was able to snag a Cabana for the 3 day cruise. I also got up for midnight for the 4 day cruise and no Cabanas available. Guess there are a lot of concierge folks on the 4 night.

Well at least I got one.

You might get lucky and get ONE. I would definitely not plan on two - especially when the whole party can be accommodated in one.

The only waitlist I have heard of is once on board - with priority going to Congierge and then in a first-come, first-served order.

I have no dog in the fight as the Double Dips are pretty much all when I am still in school - but I do think it would be only fair if they would limit it to one cabana/cruise like you are limited to one Palo dinner and brunch (ditto Remy).

They have a waitlist but it is only available first come first on at guest services once on board. If you want a decent chance at the cabana waitlist it will be your first stop once you get on the ship.

I suggest keeping an eye on the Cabanas reservation page online all the way up to 3 days prior to your cruise. At that time, people with "just in case I want it" reservations will be cancelling, if they don't want to be charged for them.

If nothing opens up, once onboard the ship go to the Port Adventures desk to see if they're running a wait list for cancellations. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Rent your cabana space out to the rest of us But seriously, I know that Shoreside has your request, just follow up with shipboard and see if anything else comes available on Serenity. Can't wait to see you there!

I agree that there should be a limit of 1 cabana since there is a wait list for folks wanting 1.. Since 10 are allowed in each one there is a much better chance of getting 1.

Just keep checking back. I'm silver and checked every day, sometimes twice a day and finally SB 24 opened up about 20 days before we go and I snatched it up

Just back today from a 4 night on The Magic. We booked 45 days before sailing because a great Fl Resident rate came up.
Of course no cabanas were available, I checked daily over and over.
As soon as we got onboard on Wednesday I went over to Guest Services and asked about a wait list for a cabana on FB.
The gentleman told me I was on the list and the Concierge team would contact us if one came up. We were not staying Concierge.
CC was our first stop on Thursday so I thought there's no way we are going to get one. Before we even sailed Maria from Concierge called and she had one for us! I was so happy, it was #14 way down closer to the lagoon than the beach. It was perfect for our grandkids, the water there is so shallow and calm. They were on the beach the entire day minus a bike ride and lunch.

Actually there were 2 cabanas closed up that were not even rented that day. Don't know if they were last minute cancellations or they were just being held for Concierge guests in case someone wanted one.
The day was beautiful but very windy and partly cloudy, maybe the high was in the low 70's.

So don't give up trying till the very last moment before CC day.
