I am looking into using this service which was recommended by my cousin. I got a quote for $45 one way to disney including 1 carseat, not gratuity. That is a good price - right?

That is about the going rate for towncar service. I have used Cartier several times in the past and if Disney wasn't doing ME right now for free, I would use them again in a heartbeat.

thanks - I was looking at rates for $60 mainly so I just wanted to make sure they were okay. We leave on Friday before Magical Express so this will probably be the first and only time we use them.

I just noticed this was listed 3 times, not sure why but sorry :guilty:

Cartier stranded my sister and nephew in April 2004. They didn't pick them up for their round trip back to the airport, which had already been paid for. They did not send anyone out to get them, and after several calls to Cartier with no replies, the people at the Swan had a car take them to the airport instead - which she also paid for. I had used them in Oct. 2003 with no problems, but they had changed management or ownership since then and the Swan told my sister they had become known for their terrible service. Cartier was unresponsive to her initial requests for a refund. Apparently they monitor this website because when I posted about what happened to warn other Disers, my sister got a nasty phone call from Cartier, then they finally gave her a refund. Unbelievable! Sorry, I cannot recommend them!

I used them the past several years, most recently March 2004. I have them confirmed for this Saturday so we'll see. I always call them the night before just to reconfirm everything. So far no problems. If you like, I can post a report when I return.

I booked them. I did a search and read lots of great reviews. They are $15 cheaper so gotta love that. I will be leaving Friday and I am only using them one way since DH is arriving the next day with rental car. Thanks!

If you are seeking the lowest quality towncar service, then look for the cheapest rates, it's as simple as that. It's the old saying "you get what you pay for".

who are you? What company do you work for. It is so obvious from your other posts here that you work for one of these towncar companies. I didn't say I had to have the cheapest but it one car company is $15 cheaper and gets the same great reviews, why would I chose another??? Geez - go back to work!!

Answer: I'm retired from 20 years in the luxury transportation business. The reviews you have been reading are mostly from a few companies that respond to this message board, I suppose you think they are from actual customers. I haven't counted lately, but there's probably well over 100 transportation companies in Orlando. None of the experienced, quality, companies, with many/more years of experience are mentioned. Do you question why that is? I'm just trying to help. It's your vacation, do what you want.

Suzanne74- I hope they have improved since my sister's incedent. I realize things happen, but it's how a company responds to problems that counts. Their refusale to refund her, and then Cartier reading these boards and giving her a nasty phone call because I simply stated the facts to help other Disers was ridiculous! Sorry you can't search the boards that far back now to read the whole thread. I've never in my life have seen such childish behavior from a business. I can't in good conscience recommend them, but I do wish you well and hope your trip is magical! :wizard:

can you give us the name of the experienced, quality companies??

Suzanne74-we've used Cartier for years and never had any problem. Last time was April '04 and next time will be May 28. We love them whether we have a limo or a town car. They have always been professional, polite and very hard working.

I just returned yesterday, and I used Cartier...they were waiting at the Airport with a sign when I arrived, did a grocery stop, and were at the hotel to pick me up (5:00am) for my return trip. Extremely pleasant, and cheaper than others..no hidden fees. I would use them again, and highly recommend them.

laruabelle, I am sorry what happened to your sister but thank you for good wishes. Since I am going only one way, I do not pay until they arrive at the airport. So if by any slim chance, they don't show, I will just taxi it and be done with it. Let's hope that doesn't happen. :)

I looked all thru the postings and it seemed that every car company made a few errors here and there so I know none of them are perfect. I am glad to hear so many others had great reports. I too will report back....

kirbsam, I agree with you - give us some info & names - he is too vague that no one would even take him seriously.

Thanks all!!!

We've used Cartier three times with no problems whatsoever.

Happy Limo is also pretty good (used them twice).

We've had problems with Tiffany Towncar, btw (used them twice also).

Well we just got back from our trip and Cartier was fine. I stopped and got an annual pass real quick and then jetted to the elevators. I did not see them anywhere and got really nervous. I called the 800# and they were on the CB with our driver in 3 seconds. She was waiting by the escalators so we bypassed her going to the elevators. I should have checked over there but didn't realize to. She pulled the car up and we packed our stuff and we were off. The only thing negative was the car seat was not installed correctly in the seat - it was too loose. I fixed that myself before I put my daughter in. So overall, I would reommend them
