In another thread, sierranevada posted the following (link):

Sounds like the WoC viewing for Carthay is nicer and not as crowded as the preferred viewing for Ariel's and WCT?
We are going 7/12 and when I made the ressies, the CM said that the viewing was different than what we were used
to with the other restaurants! Can't wait to try it!

The WOC viewing map is attached below.

For the Carthay Circle Restaurant Dining Package, does anyone know where the "Reserved Center Stage Viewing Area" is?

There have been many changes in the last week. :goodvibes

Hopefully someone will be able to share their experience. :)

Thanks, In Advance. :earsboy:

I've taken Hydroguy's great photo and marked the area where the Carthay Circle Restaurant Preferred Viewing is. The first time I was there I stood against the railing - it was perfect. The second time, I stood behind some people, and still had a good view. There were also some benches that were marked off for accessible seating.

That doesn't seem right to me. We did WCT preferred dining yesterday and the carthay section was right behind us. I walked down the stairs past the Carthay section to our section.

When we were in the Carthay Circle Restaurant viewing area, we stood by the trellis, and behind the planter where water shoots up. I remember standing between the trellis poles trying to determine which view was better, and then standing to the left of them, facing the show. I could be wrong, but in looking at Google maps, this looks like the right section.

Thank you for the visual, Mary Jo, but I am a little disappointed, as the one time we watched from that section was our worst viewing experience. Once the show started and all the parents in the center and on the stairs popped the kiddos up on their shoulders, we couldn't see anything. We do suspect that the show was at a lower than average level that evening because of weather, however, so hopefully our CC viewing in a few weeks will be a better experience.

Is the entry point/process the same as preferred dining?

Thanks for the CCT viewing info!

I am planning to watch WOC two nights. I just wonder where the WCT preferred viewing area is. It used to be green in the centre before the circular area. I was told by the CM that WCT lunch get FPs for the area behind WCT dinner FP area in the blue section. I am so confused now. Is lunch FP from WCT the area before where CCT area is on the right, and dinner FP from WCT is in the green area? Or it has all been changed?!

Please help! Thanks in advance!!

For Carthay Circle, there is not just one area that they can use. They do have their primary area; however, if it will not work for your needs and you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to show time, they will work out a location that provides a prime view AND meets your needs (i.e., If you can't stand for long periods of time, have a wheelchair, etc.). If Carthay Circle needs to and it is not full, they can use the VIP section as well, but that is at the discretion of the CM and their lead.

Bottom line is that Carthay Circle can use any section that they need to in order to provide you with the best possible view, at least that is what happened for us. We cannot stand for the length of the show and they bent over backwards to find us a seat with a great view, even to the point that they would have added more benches or put us in the VIP section if we weren't happy with where they put us; however, they put us in what I would consider the best area with benches, so we did not complain about that.

The Map posted is very out of date, there is now only Yellow, Blue, Dining and VIP sections.

Does this mean that you don't have to show up insanely early if you do the Carthay dining package? That would be worth it for me.

We showed up 15 minutes before the show started (as instructed by our server) and we all had great views of the show. I cannot guarantee the same for everyone, but that was our experience and this was on the June 16th, so it was the day after it opened.

That is great news, we will be there Thursday with a CCT lunch package. It's great to hear that we don't have to arrive so early.

I will report back with our experiences.

so is the pd for cct up on a ramp so those in front of us dont block the view?
