Has anybody received anymore information on this in terms of what "tickets" you'll be receiving. It's my understanding that Ariel doesn't offer the WOC fastpasses anymore. Is Carthay now replacing what Ariel used to offer? Does anybody know which color fastpass they'll be handing out or will they be sticking with the preferred viewing area? Lastly, does anybody know if reserving a lunch will get you the early viewing and if reserving a dinner will get you the last showing?

And so everyone doesn't have to scroll through all the comments to find the official response from Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer, here you go:

"If you dine between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., each guest purchasing and appetizer and an entrée or an entrée and dessert receives a ticket to center stage viewing area for FIRST show. If you dine between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., you receive access to the FIRST show (with same purchase). If you dine between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., you receive access to the SECOND show (with same purchase)."

So......... does that mean preferred viewing ("center stage") if you eat between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and just regular viewing ("access") if you dine after that?? This is going to turn into another tricky semantics thing.

I was wondering this too. If it's still the small "seating" (standing) arrangment, center stage isn't really all that great but I also guess it depends on where they're calling center stage. When we saw WOC, we dined at Ariel's and got the preferred viewing and of course everybody rushed to the front. Thanks to the tips from this site, I knew not to do that and hung back a little. After a mix up with our passes and the lines we ended up way in the back and contrary to belief (if you didn't know any better), the further back you go, the better. The reason why is because you'll be higher and you'll be able to see more so if the "center stage" in still on the low side, it might not be as good a viewing area as one would think.

Regarding a previous poster asking why I didn't review all of the comments. The reason why is because those are generally comments about an article and generally, one would not expect to read additional helpful information about the subject in the article. I read the article and didn't see anything so I posted a question here. Thanks for the first poster that re-directed me as I got the information that I needed and I made my resevration accordingly.

My guess is everyone will receive access to the same center stage viewing area. But the answer certainly could have been worded more clearly couldn't it?

If this is directed at me, must be since you thanked the person who posted the link, my intention wasn't to question whether you, or anyone else for that matter, did or didn't read through the comments and why. If you took it that way I'm sorry.

I was just trying to be helpful by quoting the pertinent response here so each and every person coming to this thread doesn't have to go search for it individually.

.

But there must be a difference, otherwise why specify that between 11 and 4 you get "center stage" for the first show and from 4-7 you get "access" to the first show. If everyone gets the same spots, then why not just say "from 11-7 you get preferred access to the first show"?

I interpreted the wording to mean that if you ate there from 11 to 4 you would get center stage WoC tickets. If you ate there from 4-7, you would get a WoC ticket but it wasn't guaranteed to be center stage. My guess is that they have done the numbers and decided that if everyone the restaurant has the capacity to serve between 11 and 4 ordered WoC dining, they could accommodate them in the "center stage" area. Maybe then anybody who comes in after would end up with a regular blue, red, or yellow WoC ticket? If not everyone from 11-4 received a WoC ticket, then those who dine between 4-7 might receive one of those center stage tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis. I may be totally wrong and it could just be bad semantics, but I thought this was Disney's way of saying limited availability while trying not to be too specific or sound in any way negative.

I got a reservation for 6:30pm on the 18th. She asked which viewing we wanted to see 1st or 2nd. I said first so she offered me times before 7pm.
She described our ticket as access to"Center Stage" not just "regular viewing". I would believe this to be the preferred dining area that we got when we did dinner at Ariel's.

I'll confirm strikrr. I made reservations for June 26th at 5pm. The CM asked if I wanted WOC 1st or 2nd showing, and said tickets would be for the the preferred dining area. My understanding is that it includes "center stage".

I agree..they are calling this something different than they called the viewing area for WCT or in the past Ariel's. I think the Carthay people will have a smaller 'better' area than WCT. Can't wait for a review.

This could be true or it could not , really hard to say. My thinking is this - Carthay Circle will be a bit higher end than WCT so it is very possible with that the tickets will coincide with a different area. It could however on the same token be the same area because they don't want to differentiate or seem like paying more ( theoretically) ensures a better viewing area. Though that makes sense to myself.

I have noticed they are calling the area with Carthay "center stage" while with WCT it's still called "Reserved". I also noticed that with this change also the tickets you receive are now based on dining time while previously when at Ariel's they would ask if you want the first or second showing regardless of time we dined - in our experience.
