I have reservations for Carthay Circle Restuarant, but my question is, do I have to purchase off of a "special menu" for the ticket access for WOC or is it just a combination off the regular menu of an appetizer and entree or entree and dessert?

No special menu...either app/entree or entree/dessert qualifies for the preferred dining FP.

Nope, we ordered the biscuit appetizer (which we didn't really enjoy), the bacon wrapped shrimp, the burger (yes the $22 one lol) and a dessert and we got the WoC passes even though it wasn't noted on our reservation.

Oh sorry, one more question! Does a kids entree also count? We've got an 8 year old and a 10 year old going with us.

From what I've read, you have to order a kid entree and a kid appetizer or kid dessert to get the WoC fastpass for a kid. Your 10 year old will not count as a kid at a sit-down meal. She/he will be allowed to order a kid meal if they don't like or want any of the adult menu selections, but they most likely will provide a bigger portion and charge a higher price. Ages 10 and up are Disney adults.

Perfect! Thank you for the information.

This is very helpful. Can anyone else give their experiences regarding receiving passes without mentioning it when making a reservation?

I'm planning on making reservations for dinner anyways, but deciding on WoC will be a last minute "is it worth paying an extra $30+ for passes" kind of thing. I probably wouldn't order appetizers or desserts unless we wanted to see the show. I wasn't sure if you'd somehow be locked into ordering all of the food just because you mentioned WoC when you made your reservation. LOL

Oh no, don't worry about it. You can order or not order whatever you like. They do explain exactly how you get the WOC tickets and what you must order, but you are under no obligation to do so. Have fun! :goodvibes

Great, thank you!

On the flip side, I also wasn't sure if there was a WoC limit they set each night. Do you think they ever run out of tickets for diners? I'll probably mention it when I make my reservations, just in case. As long as I can change my mind when we get there, I'll be good!

I haven't heard of them running out, so I don't think it is a problem. And even though I told them on the phone I wanted the WOC tickets, I don't think they even wrote that down on my reservation because our server had no idea. She asked us when we were seated if we had heard about the WOC tickets and explained the whole thing. So I don't think they are counting them ahead of time and cutting them off or anything.

HTH! :)
