Wow! I wish I could talk DH into a cruise! I hope everyone is having a wonderful time! I know I'm jealous! It started snowing by Chicago today for a little while if that makes it that much better.

Monday morning we woke up to the ship a few miles out from Nassau. We watched it pull into port and went to get some breakfast. We had Mickey waffles!!! :cool1: In Nassau we had the Atlantis Sea Lion encounter and Aqua Adventure booked for the day. We took a bus to Paradise Island which I much say is called Paradise for a reason! ;) It is beautiful!!!! We got to Atlantis and headed to the Dolphin Cay and had a group of 10 for our sea lion meet. We had a great guide and even got to see a lot of the workings of the animal program. Our sea lion was Freebe. He was so big and awesome. We all got to kiss, hug, and enteract with him for over an hour. They have a saying, "sea lions are cool, dolphins drewl!" After doing this excursion I totally agree. We had done a dolphin swim before and this was so much better. Since we were only in a few feet of water it was much easier to interact. I am in love with sea lions now!
After picking out our pictures and a did a little shopping we headed to the water park. It was huge!! The boys tried out the pool for awhile and then we all headed to the rapids. After we got our fill of the water park we headed back to Nassau. I wanted to do a little shopping in the straw market and of course get my hair braided! :lmao: Since we had early dinner we went back to the ship in time to get ready. Tonight was dress up night as well as dinner at Animators Palate. This place is so cool. Crush along with all the other fish from finding nemo come to life! It is amazing!!!
Tonights show was the Disney Villians! The boys enjoyed seeing all the 'bad' Disney characters. Since we didn't have far to go the water was really smooth and you could hardly tell the ship was moving! ;) The boys wanted to do some more shopping and we also had a few character meets. I met the Cruise Director, Natalie as we came out of the show. She said that a little bird told her that Carter's true wish was for a firework cruise. She said that she would be sending an invitation to watch the fireworks with her in the VIP section!!:banana::banana: I started crying and was so excited for Carter! We also got some pixi dust from Megan the MAW coordinator on board for Castaway Cay the next day! We delivered our FE gifts before heading to bed. What a MAGICAL day!

Starting the day out right with Mickey waffles!

Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!

My job blocks photobucket!!! Why job... why??? I will look up your pics via the phone. If they do for us... what they did for your family, we will indeed have a marvelous time. Does you days fly by quickly, or are you able to take your time and take it all in from day to day.

BTW, what is the height requirement for the Atlantis rides. My soon to be 7 year old is the one i am concerned for. I think his last checkup had him at 43". It broke his heart last year when he couldn't make the Paradise Pier coaster. But his height now atleast allows him to do the AquaDuck.

I believe requirements for the slides is 48". We didn't ride any slides and still had tons of fun!

That's unfortunate, o well, atleast we know about it a head of time.

Saw your pics via my phone. You guys took awesome pics, your boys...remind me of my own, with the youngest just coming over the oldest ones shoulder. My youngest, whom is 3, is outgrowing my 7 YO, so i think he will catch by the time he reaches early teens.

Seeing what you are doing, and experiencing through you is giving me so many ideas for when its our turn. I keep telling my wife, i can't wait... to take a walk along the ship outside at night, that would be so cool. Did you guys try any of the adult-only themed areas?

Tuesday:
We woke up in paradise! Or otherwise called Castaway Cay.:beach: The water is so beautiful and clear it is unbelievable! :goodvibes We decided to go to the buffet for breakfast and Carter found something better than Mickey waffles, Crispy Cream donuts!! Yes in the middle of the ocean! :lmao: We got ready and headed on to the island, while waiting for our tour we ran into the good captain, Jack Sparrow. He was so hot!!! :lmao::p Mom really enjoyed getting a picture with him! We had a glass bottom boat tour booked. I was a little disappointed with this. The glass part of the boat was far away from where you stood so it was kind of hard to see. We did get to find some bright colored fish and also fed them oatmeal. The best part was getting to see some more of the island and also get some good pictures of the Dream! I also got to learn a lot of the workings of the island. There are actually 105 DCL employees that live full time on the island. Of course I was also told that they like to party a lot!! Well of course what else would you do on a secluded island??? I think I may be applying for a job soon! :lmao: The other people that work on the island boat over from a neighboring island 8 miles away, what a way to get to work.
We then checked out our snorkeling equipment, the boys were so cute! The sad thing was the water was so cold. There is a kid play area called the plunge, the boys weren’t really interested since it was in water a little deep and so many kids! We didn’t have any problems finding chairs. Disney has 2 places to eat lunch on the island, they have bbq type food. The nice thing is they also provide free pop on the pool deck as well as on the island. I am not much of a pop drinker but their ice tea was great in the heat. They also had the ice cream machines on the island. I am in love with their banana ice cream! :lovestruc
We received an invitation to a Make a Wish party with special visitor for the afternoon so we headed back early to get cleaned up a bit. The party was held in the Outlook, which is at the very top of the ship usually used for weddings. When we got there we met 5 other MAW families. It was cool to be able to witness all the kids being kids! They had cookies, juice and of course Captain Mickey came!! He was AWESOME!! :cool1: He danced with all the kids, posed for pictures, and just spent so much time with them. I must say that person has a heart of gold and is excellent at their job! We also finally got to meet Megan, the MAW coordinator. :lovestruc
Tonight was pirate night!! So to top of a magical day was a magical night. I had made shirts for us to wear to dinner and DCL gives everyone bandanas to wear. The waiters, workers, and characters were all dressed up in pirate gear. Right after dinner they held the first pirate show. After that we went to the magic show. It was very good and the boys enjoyed it. At last it was time for the FIREWORKS!!! :cool1: We were very blessed to meet a very special couple through our FE on the Disboards. They were on their 43 Disney cruise. They know everyone on board!! They were invited to watch the fireworks with the cruise director in the VIP section. They knew that a ‘firework’ cruise was Carter’s true wish…so they made sure he was invited as well.pixiedust: Words can’t describe how special they are to us. Don and Gail will have a place in our hearts forever. :lovestruc So we all headed to the top of the Mickey slide. Our view was unbelievable, nothing in our way and we were up so high. It was wonderful!!! They had a pirate dance party on deck afterwards and the boys enjoyed dancing and listening to some of the music. What a day!!pixiedust:pixiedust:
I know I am a little winded, but I am actually reliving the trip through writing this! I plan on printing these out so that in years down the way I have all this saved!

We tried heading up to serenity for a little bit, but the boys got tired of the kids club. They enjoyed everything there, but only when we were there with them! :lmao: They are both pretty shy. :)

I am loving the report and pictures! It looks like you had an amazing time :-)
