Carsland little details

So I remember a few things on the Disboards being mentioned about Carsland that we saw on our recent visit.

1) The Buzz Lightyear figure in Sally's Cozy Cone office.

2) The car buttons they gave out. When it opened this summer people answered a trivia question to get a button. Last week they had them laid out on the queue rock wall at Mater's and the CM said to take as many as we wanted.

3) One thing we noticed that I don't remember hearing about is that each car on RSR has a different named license plate. Take a look at the car in front of you the next time you ride. Very cute detail. I wish I'd thought to write them down. Anyone remember the ones you saw?

Any other CL details you remember?

#4 - There is the cutest little picture of a girl car for the bathroom sign in CL. I should have looked at the boys sign too!

I like the cave dwelling pictures on the cave wall at the end of the Radiator Springs Racers attraction.

I forgot about that. Only noticed it I think on my last ride.

I thought we would be able to see these while on the ride but either it is going too fast or I am busy looking at other things. We found them easier to read from the road between Flo's and RSR.

From a die-hard Pixar fan, here comes some Cars Land trivia:

If you've ever watched the Cars films and shorts closely, you'll notice that every machine they interact with has a foot pedal, e.g. garage doors, gas pumps, Holly Shiftwell's spy computers, etc. This is because cars have no hands, they press and operate everything with their tires. This detail is preserved in Cars Land; the curtains that frame the whitewall tires in the Luigi's shop portion of the LFT queue still have a foot pedal near the floor for opening the curtains (Luigi used it in a scene from Cars 1). The entrance to LFT queue is also a garage door, complete with a foot pedal (I think it's inside). The gas pumps in front of Flo's also have these pedals.

Also, every single thing on the side of the wall on the far right in the MJJ queue is from one of the Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales short films.

Last one: in Cars 1, during the beginning where Lightning McQueen stumbles into Radiator Springs, Fillmore is sitting with Sarge in front of Flo's and staring at the traffic light, which continuously blinks yellow. He says, and I quote, "I'm telling you man, every third blink is slower!" This is actually true, both in the movies and in Cars Land.

Since Christmas stuff just came out, here's a few more things:

Each resident (except for Ramone, don't know why) has their own Christmas tree. At Cozy Cone Motel, there are orange stars on the lawn, made with 5 cone shapes that DBF didn't realize until after we looked at our pictures after the trip xD. All of the garlands are made of radiators, and Radiator Springs Curios has been changed to Radiator Winter Curios. Stick around for lighting at dusk, as the light up song has changed to reflect Christmas time! Also, keep on the lookout for Christmas lighting, particularly at Flo's. It was wonky on Carsland's first Christmas night (Nov 9) when we were there (successfully went on, shorted out, and then came back on 20 min later), but hopefully all of the problems will be fixed when you go!

There are sooooo many. One of my favorite:

In the movie it is said, "Every third blink is slower," in reference to the stop light in town. Well, the stop light in Carsland blinks. And every third blink is slower. LOVE that!

The Christmas decorations right outside of MJJ hanging over Rte 66 has a tire as a wreath and wrenches were used to create snowflakes! Very creative!

Mater is now wearing the biggest Santa hat I have ever seen!

Also got pictures of the "flowers" all over that are made of headlights. Really liked that touch. That is super easy to notice.
