I'm very new with disneyland, so bear with me :) We will be using EMH for DCA on a day that opens at 8am, 7am for emh.

Two questions:

1.When they have two rope drops (one fore EMH and one for regular guests) where do they hold the line and at what time for the second rope drop? We would like to come from the paradise pier area to cars land fastpass kiosks 10 min before they open; will we able to get in that area or will we be stuck behind the second rope drop?

2. If our group, on an EMH day, line up at the RSR fastpass kiosks 10 minutes before they release the passes, what time are we likely to get? I know it is a rough guess... but could we theoretically get the first group of passes? say, 8am-9am?

.

1. I believe EMH doesn't have a rope drop and just hold everyone at the gates. I think a family is chosen as the first guest and then everyone EMH guest is allowed in.

The second rope drop happens when the park opens at 8am. Those guests are held near the Carthay Circle /Fountain area, the Condor Flats entrance, and I believe near the Tower of Terror, but I don't know anyone that waits over there.

2. That early should get you a return time between 9am-10am

I personally wouldn't recommend waiting 10 minutes Early for the RSR FP unless you want the chance to ride RSR again.

I would always recommend staying in Paradise Pier while the park opens at 8am. Do TSMM as much as you can then do all the other PP attractions. Followed by Grizzly, FP for the WOC, Then Soarin without a FP, Then get a RSR FP for, in my opinion the better night ride on RSR at around 10am-11am.

The RSR FP kiosks are located between Cathay Circle and the entrance to Bug's Life Land. They do not open the FP machine until the park opens to everyone (so the "second" opening). You can come via Grizzle River Rapids, but I don't think that will give you any advantage because they do not form the line pre-opening anymore, so it's kind of a mass milling of guests. I suppose with EMH access, you could make sure you're milling around the entrance to the FP area just before they open and hope/try to be among the first to get a FP.

The first FPs are generally for about 45 minutes after park opens to everyone. So if the park opens at 8:00 am to everyone, the first FP will likely be fore 8:45 am - 9:45 am. There is no line pre-park opening any more, so you just have to hang around the FP area until the open it. Just note that if RSR is not running, they will not distribute FPs.

Thanks for all the advice! :thumbsup2

Is it better then to ride RSR first thing in the morning for EMH instead of heading straight to TSMM?

If its for EMH get to the main entrance gates 30-15 minutes for EMH starts.
Head to RSR first then Luigis, Maters, and TSMM.

Note: If RSR breaks down during EMH then skip it and get a FP later.

If its not a EMH day then do TSMM and the rest of the Paradise Pier attractions first then get a RSR FP.

Sorry to hijack, but does DCA not do MM/EMH on Sundays anymore? I was looking at Sunday, November 23rd and the schedule says there is no early morning that day, just 8-11 for park hours.

It is too early to look on the schedule. Wait a week or two and then the schedule will start to fill in, including the emh info.
